Just kidding mods. ;) Gotcha!

But I wanted to ask you Menewshers, Menes... Menewshites?... What your idea of a good date is. I know it will vary for everyone, but I have been on some, just awful dates haha that were clearly not an awful idea on the male half of the outing.

Please share your best date and worst dating experiences and if you haven't had one yet, what would be your perfect first date?

I haven't really been on something that I would consider a real date but being taken to a concert would definitely be the best one ever.

I take my dates to a pier my family owns and we watch the sunset. That's usually followed by dinner and a play or something along those lines. Depending on the type of girl, we might go to a club or something afterwards. At this point I usually lose consciousness and wake up the next to a girl who's already planning our life together, and how she can trap me into having a family with her. Then comes to awkward "Yeah, I was really drunk. I'm not looking for anything serious" talk, and she normally throws something at me and insults my manhood and storms out to make drama filled Facebook posts.

Such is life in the Parishes of the South. :P

I have been only on two "dates" with this one guy in my entire life so far (family is very conservative so I snuck out). But the thing was, it was just basically hanging out 1) at the mall and 2) downtown, which then became a date when he bought my dinner. It was fine I guess, asides from the fact that he kissed me and traumatized me. I clearly wasn't ready and didn't like him enough for that kiss to happen, especially since it was the 3rd time I met him. x.x

Depending on the girl, it would either be:

Scenario A:
Walk somewhere nice, dinner, movie

Scenario B:
Paintball, dinner, movie

Scenario C:
Coffee, walk, then figure something out.

Typically, it ends up being the third one, but thats back when I had a social life. Right now, my social life is talking randomly with the servers at work. -.-

Best date was my now wife coming up from Oregon and hanging out for like 3 days <3

Worst? Uhh... probably the double date we had last time? (the other guy smoked)

I'm not really the 'date' sort of person, so to be perfectly honest, my boyfriend and I haven't actually been out on a proper date. We've done loads of things that are just the two of us, but not anything I'd consider a date. We're going to see a comedian (Mark Watson) in December, so I guess that will be our first proper outing to something alone. I love comedy, so I guess that would be my perfect date. ^^

Worst date? Can't say I've had one. An outing to a sporting event, particularly football, would be my idea of hell though.

A good date is dinner somewhere relaxed and a movie.

Bad date is going to a nightclub.
Why anyone would take their date to a nightclub, I'll never know.

My ex's idea of a good date night was clubbing. What's the point of that? Can't talk, because music's so loud and I don't dance. If I wanted to spend the evening standing in a corner and yelling everytime I wanted to be heard, I'd apply for a job as one of those crazy religious nuts who hang out on street corners and preach about the end of the world.
So if he thought I was having a good time, he was mistaken. ...although the bartender there was lovely and since my ex would be out on the dance floor, doing his own thing, I felt it only fair that I could flirt outrageously with the bar tender :D

Also, going somewhere fancy for dinner would be my idea of hell. I don't eat anything fancy, so if someone's taking me out, then I'd like to be able to actually eat... Also I don't like to dress up fancy. Some do, I know, but I'd rather relax and be...me.

This thread reminded me that myself and my boy need to go on a proper date, so I've organised one for us. xDD We're going out for a meal to an Indian restaurant. (:

:] I really need a good date myself. Since I had my daughter, my husband and I have only been on one nice "date" but I don't really call it that, because our nine month old at the time was there haha But in all honesty I wouildn't have enjoyed it as much any other way!

I'd say any date I've ever had where a guy expected third base (on the first date - or even second or third...) Was a bad, and probably akward date haha And yes I have been on MANY dates that went just that way.
