Where are they coming from!?

So... Clair's bedroom seems to have become infested with a strange breed of spider she's never seen before. She doubts they're poisonous, just because of where she lives, but... then again, she's never seen the breed before and there are a ton of them crawling through her bedroom. T_T I'm a huge baby when it comes to spiders. >.<
Another odd thing is, they only seem to be in my bedroom. >.> I've only seen one other like it in my bathroom, all the rest seem to have taken up living in my bedroom. :/

Has anyone else had to deal with an infestation? How did you deal with it? Do you like spiders or no? How do you deal with them?

I dislike spiders and there is currently one inhabiting the corner of where I sleep. My bed is position below of it and I really dislike it. The only reason why my bed is position this way is my sister is a whiny bitch that gets everything she wants. She's a whore, end. I don't want to deal with it so I comply because I'm sick of it and I will move and never hear of it again. I'm sorry for the language and it was towards my sister. ^^ I'm sorry you're currently in that situation. I guess you either buy some insect spray or something. I don't know how to deal with spiders either. >>

Yeah... I'm armed with a broom. I'm just gonna go in and destroy them as I see 'em. >.>

There's an infestation of roaches everywhere in the house where I live except maybe the bedrooms...though I still often see them in there. They don't show up much during the day but they're everywhere at night. No amount of trying to keep food out of their reach or cleaning or what else has been successful in lowering their numbers. I pretty much ignore them these days unless they're on the ground, where I'll attempt to stomp on them. I dislike roach guts on surfaces where I'll come in contact with, so I only kill them when they're on the ground.

I know how you feel I have a roach infestation too.

As for the Spider Infestation you can try to buy a spray,or may be you could hire an exterminator. I personally like spiders, except for the big orange ones, they scare me to death.

Clair Voyant 08-28-2011 03:11 PM

These spiders are slightly larger than quarters and their legs are very long... and muscular-looking. And they're an odd orange-ish-brown color. They're not hairy... they look more like their bodies are plated. >.>

Ew ew ew ew ew! Both the story about the spiders and then the roaches is just grossing me out! I can't stand either bug! Luckily we don't have a problem with them in our house or I'd die. I would move out and never come back!!!! XD

Projectwolfie 08-28-2011 07:05 PM

Haven't had spiders (darn, I'd keep one as a pet) right now, but the house for some reason has been filled with flies. There's not a thing that we've left out that they're attracted to I believe...

Nonsensical 08-28-2011 07:34 PM

There are always a bunch of bugs here! The types and locations vary (I used to have ladybugs on my ceiling, roaches mainly in the kitchen, ants near any entryway, etc), but right now we seem to have thousand leggers everywhere. -looks up at ceiling all paranoid- Which means we probably have a good number of roaches somewhere too since, apparently, they eat them.

Also, I don't like bugs. At all. Well, the ladybugs were OK. Besides having someone come out to spray about twice a year, we also have our own spray. I don't know what it is, but it works very, very well. 8D Which is good for me 'cause the only times I'm brave enough to kill a bug is when a shoe is near. And that's not often enough.

Ick. D: We have a roach problem as well but it's not nearly as bad as yours, I'm sure.

In the winter we get a lot of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs, which drives me up a wall due to their size, smell, and incessant buzzing. I used to trap them so they would starve silently but nowadays I try to leave them alone since flushing them down the toilet is a huge waste of water.

sprayem with bug killer.... or run and get someone who isnt afraid of things with 8 legs... that leaves me out...

Nacara 08-29-2011 06:18 AM

If possible, try to find if there is a nest of point of origin that these spiders seem to be coming from. If you do find a nest, spray the living heck out of it!

Nonsensical 08-30-2011 01:55 AM

You know, after I first read this, I thought that's it's been awhile since we've had any spiders here.
This morning, I found a dead spider in my bed.
D;

Nacara 08-30-2011 02:41 AM

AGH! I can't stand when that happens. It creeps me out to think that it may have crawled over my face while I was sleeping. -shivers-

Maria-Minamino 08-30-2011 02:51 AM

@nonsensical - OMG ew! i would die if I found a dead spider in my bed D: I wouldn't sleep in the bed for a long time *would sleep on the couch*

The first and only roach I've seen in my house as actually a couple weeks ago...and it was just chilling on my blanket that I had left on my couch....needless to say, despite the fact that it's been washed and the bug is dead, I haven't used that blanket since XD

Nacara 08-30-2011 02:54 AM

haha Maria - you and I are very alike. I still wont walk on a certain part of my bathtub that I found a spider. It is just too creepy

zigbigadorlube 08-30-2011 02:20 PM

Zig can't deal with spiders. She's such a chicken she makes someone else come and squish them for her. I don't think I'd be able to deal with your sort of infestation. I think they have some bug sprays that are supposed to ward off spiders but I'm not sure those are for use in a house so I'm afraid I can't help you. My only suggestion would be to go to a hardware store and see if they have any sort of spider-killers available.

If it's something like there was a spider in my room...I won't sleep there for a few days even if it's dead....but I'll eventually go back because I have to. But if it's like...there was a roach on my blanket - I can be really stubborn XD It's been a few weeks and I've yet to use the darn thing (although my mother loves it so it's getting some use XDDD)

I just graduated from college in May. And at the beginning of the month my roommate and I found a roach in our shower. She killed it and got rid of it...but i refused to even go near that part of the shower for the rest of my time there. And when my other two roommates moved out (they had on shower and my roommate and I had another one) I just used their shower instead lmao XDDD I was there for a week and a half after they moved out so it worked out pretty well XD

I've found dead roaches, dead silverfish, dead spiders, dead mosquitoes, and other various dead unidentifiable bugs in my bed before...and they're usually squished flat too. :XD;;; I just flick them off the bed and continue sleeping. My brain might've been too asleep to register the usual disgust I might've held for them, and by the time I'm properly awake again, I don't really care anymore.

NeuzaKC 08-30-2011 03:17 PM

This is all very creepy. .-. Does your house have a garden, Clair? My house is always crawling with little centipedes (I'm an idiot, I'm sure they're not really called that since they're so very tiny and un-centipede-like) because we have a garden. We have tons of spiders too, daddy long legs, you call them, I believe? Mostly starving in the garage and the laundry room. Anywho. Yours sound gross, Clair. I'd suggest having a shoe with you at all times. Old fashioned, but works like a charm!

But, huh, now that were on the topic, does anyone here know anything about cocoons that pop up and bugs that come out of them? Those have insistedly shown up in my bedroom and they're starting to freak the hell out of me.

Nacara 08-30-2011 03:49 PM

EEEK! CENTIPEDES? Game over ~_~ I am such a girly chicken. I jump ontop of a counter or the toilet and scream until my roommate, sister, or boyfriend come to my rescue :P
I cannot stand icky creepy crawlies. I dont know how some of you can talk about them so nonchalantly! Such brave souls!! Bravo to you peole
