I've always disliked going to the doctor and to the dentist. But I really just can't stand it now.

I just went for a couple of reasons last week...went to our family doctor. He was going to call in a perscription for me but before he could....he got arrested for illegal drug trafficing. SOOOO...I have no doctor and no perscription. So I have to find someone else.

Called the health department today in my county...the earliest they can get me in is in a week and a half.....so I'm a little ticked off right now. I still don't know my schedule for next week and so I have an appointment scheduled but I might have to RESCHEDULE for a later date in my work schedule conflicts with it.

Do you guys have an horror stories from the doctor? Anyone else had their doctor arrested? Do you just NOT like the doctor?

I don't like doctors, dentists, or hospitals. I always get bad vibes from them but hospitals are definitely the worst unless they're modern and extremely nice on the inside. Then it doesn't feel so much like I'm in one but in an office.

I don't mind going to the clinic for my family doctor, but dentists and hospitals have always given me bad vibes and shivers, especially hospitals. I hate going to the, for any reason.

Doctors have always made me nervous...I hate taking medicine for anything...I'd rather wait it out and deal with it. Only for emergencies do I rely on meds. In addition...meds have a crazy effect on me....I'm really tiny so normal dosages are too much...D: Some doctors dont' understand that!

Hospitals make me upset - but I do love to go carolling in them. One year in high school my choir went on our last day of school during the first semester to a hospital and carolled for people....we sang a babie's first christmas carol (she had just been born) and we sang an old lady's last Christmas carol (they didnt' think she would make it past that day). It makes me so upset to think about her but I know we brought some joy to her...she smiled and cried and thanked us.

I don't like anyone poking and prodding in my personal space, nor do I care for the common attitude that the doctor knows better because (s)he's the doctor and my silly questions are hardly worth his/her time. They're not all like this, of course, but I've met enough who are. I don't like being essentially rushed out the door with only a vague understanding of the situation and I don't like being made to feel stupid for wanting answers and possibilities other than the one solution I've been given by said doctor.

@Glitter - I feel the same way - they think they all know best...but you could go to three different doctors for a problem and they'll have three different explanations and three different answers for things.

One of my best friends wants to be a doctor...when she is one she's going to be my doctor and no one else...I trust her...i don't trust anyone else. I thought I could trust my family doctor but he gets himself arrested D:

I don't have any horror stories, thankfully. But I do dislike going to the dentist and doctor with a passion lol Especially the dentist. I have nightmares about dentists. Did you know that a dentist invented the electric chair? Yeah, not suprising huh? Creepy people. I mean, who wants to work in someone elses nasty mouth anyway? Uhg.

@Kya - lmao I didn't know a dentist invented the electric chair! That's scary!! D: I hate when dentists poke and prod you with sharp pointy sticks and then try to convince you that you have a disease called gingivitus because you bleed after been poked....and it's like...no...you just stabbed my gums! What are you thinking?!

I dread going to see my doctor and dentist, but they're actually really nice. My grandpa's doctor, on the other hand, is a total ass. My grandpa has to wake up at about 5AM (or earlier!) for an 8-9AM appointment and most of the time the doctor doesn't even come. When he is there, he's so rude it'd probably be better if he wasn't.

@ Maria: I completely understand about the bleeding! Luckily, the last time I went to see my dentist, someone else cleaned my teeth and she didn't use one of those awful scapper things.

I'm fine with doctors, but I've never really had to go to any so far in my life.
But dentists *shudders* I know some REALLY nice ones, but they still terrify me. I had to be drugged to go to the dentist when I was little. And even then, I had to go to a special dentist who played cartoons in the waiting room and had a GBA for me to play while he worked on my teeth. I went to that doctor until 7th grade XD
And then I got braces. The worst part about going to the dentist is when they grab their torture device looking tools, and that becomes infinitely worse with orthodontists, because they always seem to have a new set. But mine wasn't too bad, he always told me what they were for.
My worst nighmare was when I had to get a filling last year. My dentist said he was considering not using any freezing but I convinced him to. Even then, he didn't use enough, so I could feel the drill sometimes. It was the worst, because I was always so nervous that I'd feel it D:

I am so scared of the doctor. Last time I went was went I got hit by a car last year and the cops dragged me to the hospital. The time before that was sixteen years ago when I rode my bike through a glass window.

I'm just scared the doctors will tell me I'm pregnaut or have worms or my heart has cancer. I don't know, they just ask so many questions, and they always seem to be busy with other things, so they can't focus on me, and they are around sick and dying people all day.
