- When people use "big words" out of context trying to sound smart.
It's also kind of funny, but more so annoying because if you try to correct them they'll just say that you're stupid. :|
- When people touch my hair. Unless, of course I'm paying them to do so.
- When people touch my shoulders or back.
I basically just don't want to be touched the vast majority of the time.
Also homophobia, racism, sexism, and pretty much any extremists.

when i am on time for the gift buying thing and UPS can't deliver it on time.
.....snow is so unpredictable.

I get really irritated when people touch me incessantly. Like they just put their hands on me or hold onto me for no reason at all.
I'm a huge "This is my bubble GTFO" kind of person. I've met people that will stand next to me and grip really tight on my arm or they'll come up to me and pet me or run their hands up and down my arm while they talk. It's SOOOO annoying.
Last night my 11-year-old cousin decided she wanted to have her hands on me...THE ENTIRE NIGHT. She already irritates me to no end, but this just got on my nerves big time. I was sitting in the big recliner watching TV and she comes up and just sits right next to me even though there's easily 8 other empty chairs in the room. And the chair I was in was not meant for a 15-year-old girl and a chubby 11.
So, we sat like that for a few minutes, then she proceeds to throw her right leg over both of mine, practically pinning me to the chair, then she grabs my upper arm and starts squeezing. I really have personal space issues, so I raged on her. It was nasty.
Later on my family decided to watch Walking Dead, so we all sit and I take the recliner nearest the window. My cousin creeps up and lays her arm on the side of the chair and she playing her DS with the sound up. I said "Hey moo, can you play that somewhere else? I'm trying to watch the show."
She sits on the ground right next to my chair.

It's safe to say by the end of the night I was about ready to kill her.

I hate it when you tell someone "no" and they keep asking, like they think you'll change your mind if they keep bothering you.

Also, when people leave dishes everywhere instead of putting them in the sink.

i'm guilty of doing that.
if i have something i feel like i should share.
even if the person says, 'no', i think i should ask again just to make sure.
*shiftie eyes*
i will try to just ask once and take the 'no' as an answer.

I have a little dog, he's a Papillon, and like most small dogs, he has awful breath. I can't stand when he comes and sits under my chair, or near me and starts licking his feet. Uhg, the odor floats up to me and makes me want to gag. It's so awful.

Since I was thinking about my dog pet peeve, it got me thinking about my other dog, who is an English Bulldog. I can't stand when he cleans his feet either. He snorts and grunts and makes these nasty squishing sounds. Blech... It's equally as annoying lol

hummy 12-22-2011 11:17 PM

there is this dente bone that helps with their bad breath.
but i have no suggestions for your english bulldog.
it did make me 'gigglesnort' myslef when i read that.
thank you, i needed that.

shinigamikarasu 12-22-2011 11:21 PM

Yeah, my friends sister has a few small dogs and their breath isn't all that great either. Especially when they jump in your lap. I mean, they're adorable, but there's only so much dog breath you can take. :gonk:

hummy 12-23-2011 07:08 AM

too bad they don't have puppie brreath all their lives.

NightshadeBloom 12-23-2011 10:09 PM

Questions, I hate questions. When I tell this to people they will ask "Why?" to which I punch them in the stomach. It is mostly when people keep bugging me and asking me the same thing over and over again. I also just hate it when people pry into my life

Oh, finger nail clicking. My brother use to do it when I was younger and the sound of it would make me physically ill. It is kinda like staccato nails on a chalkboard kind of sound to me that just drives me nuts.

Mrs. Fluffy Elizabeth 12-24-2011 07:59 PM

I can't stand pencil thin douche goatees, but I don't know if that counts as a pet peeve. =/
I also feel like nobody listens to me when I talk, because I find myself repeating the same things multiple times to the same people, wtf, leave me aloooooooone.

They might have rotting teeth if they're old, which can only be fixed by taking them to a vet and having the teeth pulled. Dentastix doesn't fix rotting teeth dog breath. D:

A pet peeve of mine is when people spread margarine on toast, but don't get rid of the toast crumbs that remain in the margarine tub when they go for the next dollop of margarine...I've seen the toast crumbs left in there and if they're burnt it annoys me a lot especially when I don't know how long they've been there for.

Junabelle 12-25-2011 05:26 PM

For now, I'm going to say that my number one pet peeve is: When people tell me to smile.
"B****, If I wanted to smile, I'd smile!"
I don't tell them that it bugs me.
I don't want to hurt their feelings or come off the secret b**** that I am.
I think it bothers me so much because to me, they're basically telling me how to feel.

Adrastiea 12-26-2011 06:22 AM

People reading over my shoulder when I'm writing in a notebook, reading, or on the computer. It just bugs me for reasons I can't really explain. It's not even a privacy thing, it's just I hate how I can feel them watching and it ruins my concentration because all I can think about is that person watching what I'm doing. Ugh.

I also dislike getting interrupted while I'm getting really into a song because sometimes it helps me think of new stuff for a story I'm working on and if someone interrupts my thought process I lose the entire train of thought and forget some really great details I could have used. I also have to stay in the car until a song finishes or whenever I start up the car I have to start at the beginning of a song (this is probably the main reason I don't listen to the radio when I'm driving).

I also have a lot of little OCD things I picked up from the summers I spent cleaning up at a summer camp. If I see dust anywhere, I get rid of it. Even if it's on a cash register that's within my reach or something stupid like that. I get lots of weird looks when I run my finger across a surface to check for dust while I'm in public. I can also point out all the things wrong in a public bathroom, like all the corners people cut to get the job done. Then there's the whole making beds thing and hospital corners...
Don't even get me started on kitchen sanitation.

I've gotten to where Political Talks, even if they are funny, are my pet peeve now. It's like a constant, non-stop barrage of political stuff. Funny photoshops, stupid quotes by politicians, comments by people who READ the stupid quotes by politicians. I'm surrounded by it anymore.

I keep telling people that I have health issues. Anymore, I don't need this stress from hearing about how dumb the people that control this country are/is/who to vote for/why ect. All it does is make me rage and my blood pressure spike!

That is why I've been sticking to fun/goofy stuff. Or trying to...that goodness for comics and books.

Nonsensical 01-03-2012 03:03 AM

I have lots. o_____o
Loud sniffling, people talking during a good movie/show, loud music at night, the way dogs smell when they come back inside, most strong smells, people rearranging my things, being asked if I'm mad, being asked something multiple times, lots of honking, "I could care less", the smell of smoke (though I like burning things 8D), kids eating/licking away their snot, fur (it gets EVERYWHERE), thin walls, people touching me, mumbling, being too cold, being too hot, Youtube comments, being asked why I like/dislike/think/do something . . .

IndigoKitsune 01-03-2012 03:22 AM

When people don't clean up after themselves, and when some one cleans my room behind my back.

DivineHeart 01-03-2012 09:07 AM

When people chew loudly, when people have an obnoxious personality, and when people don't flush the toilet.
That last one drives me insane the most ><.

Ling 01-03-2012 12:53 PM

One thing that annoys me is when people check my ID at adult only venues when I don't look eighteen and am almost ten years older than that!

Also in public toilets when people leave toilet paper, and sanitary products and packaging around instead of putting them in the right place.

RoadToGallifrey 01-03-2012 03:57 PM

I hate Scottish people that feel the need to type in their accent. I mean, I love the Scottish accent, but you don't see any other nationality typing in an accent. There's a girl I'm friend's with on Facebook that does this all the time, it really does take a lot of restraint not to hit her upside the head. D:

I second that!

I hate that repetitive licking and gross noises dogs make when they lick their feet too! I have a Maltese/Yorkie/thing mix that'll not only sit there and lick her feet but if I stop her, she'll try to lick me and while I'm not one to be grossed out by dogs licking me, the repetitiveness just bothers me to no end.

@Ling: I get that too! I hate when people look at my ID then at me, then at the ID. It just makes things weird. I even got kicked out of a club before because one of the bouncers thought I had a fake ID before I pulled my passport, health insurance card, and another ID out and asked them if those were all fake too.

IndigoKitsune 01-03-2012 04:07 PM

I also can't stand having to deal with pricks, but some time everyone has to deal with this subgroup of jerks. All that one can do, is to be kind to them, and hope that they go away.

Remyre 01-05-2012 04:16 AM

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone starts something.. and you say, Oh yes, I've heard all about this... and they don't stop talking.. in fact, they go on an epic half hour chat of the same sentence over and over... it's like seriously? What did I do to deserve this, I know, I don't need you repeating it at me a million times!!! sheesh....

IndigoKitsune 01-14-2012 04:02 PM

When people go on and on and on, on a given subject and don't let you or anyone else get a word in.

Damia Flagg 01-14-2012 05:09 PM

My biggest pet peeve is still the guys who want to show their underwear to the world.
Please pull up your pants. That is not a good style & it was started in prison.

Lately something else has really been getting on my nerves.
I have a co-worker who has always been a liar. It used to be she would lie to get others in trouble, now she is lying to try to get sympathy. I think her a very sad individual. The most recent set of lies was telling us that her aunt was in the hospital dying & she needed to leave to be with her family, then by that evening she had made a miraculous recovery. What she didn't know is that someone else in the office is friends with this Aunt's husband & that while it is true that she was in the hospital she wasn't dying.
She has berated our boss for being uncaring & for not having any sympathy for her. We have a very nice & caring boss.

How can you have any sympathy for someone when you can't ever tell if they are telling the truth or lying?
