This blew me away, what are your thoughts on this Menewsha?
How does this video make you feel? |
That is one well-spoken 12 year old girl. My first thought was - well, they certainly had help writing that speech! XD
But in all honesty it is quite sad. A lot of these things are still going on. |
Wow, I wish I could be that awesome when I was 12 :(
It is a topic that really concerns me, though I would never have the guts to say something like that to so much people. I get nervous speaking in front of my class! |
Uuugh, it makes me feel ashamed. ; o;
I wonder what she's doing now. |
Wow, that is an inspiring twelve year old! Sucks that this crap still happens. People like her are our hope.

I didn't finish the whole thing but the first minute made me realize what it was about. Well, when she did her introduction did. She's quite brave to do such a thing as well as the others. ^^ I hope she goes far. Woo~ I could never do anything like that because...I really don't care. >>;

She's a environmental activist now.
Severn Cullis-Suzuki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia She still participates in debates. She's very inspiring. |
Oh wow. :O
That's awesome she's still doing this~ And also sad because that means there's still stuff wrong. :s |
..... wow. That speech took self confidence, beleife in herself, and a sence of selflessness that I can honestly say; I haven't seen in a long time. Although, it is sad. That speech was very beautiful, and I bet only half the confirence was there to hear it. Because if every deligate was there to hear it, I have no doubt that they would feel moved by it, want to stop the fighting that is going on, and strive towards a more peaceful and economic planet. so it is my personal opinion that the deligates were not there to hear the speech, they were moved by it but their hands were bound, or the room was full of sociopaths.

It personally made me feel very sad. Because there is the part where she talks about how materialistic we've become, and how we obsess over having every new piece of technology, when there are children in third world countries starving and dying of preventable diseases.
It really makes me take a closer look at how we -as a species- are failing our brothers and sisters. |
