I've been experimenting a lot with different hot teas, and I LOVE most of them :-) I just wanted to see if anyone else is a tea lover and what you're favorite teas are, especially if you've found something out of the ordinary that is just delicious!

My favorites are most of the fruity decaf teas and Chai tea with french vanilla creamer in it (I like this hot or chilled over ice...becomes like a chai latte almost... yum!). Basically, I've found adding vanilla creamer to almost any tea is delicious! Try it sometime. Right now I'm drinking blueberry tea with french vanilla creamer. Almost tastes like a candy :-)

I've been drinking Lady Grey with honey lately.
Green tea is also another favorite.
I'd like to try lots more teas though~ Especially this blueberry tea. :O

I love seasonal tea, for fall anything pumpkin spice, and when winter hits any tea that has a hint of peppermint. Other wise I love black peach tea.

Tea with cream is definitely more amazing.

I think my favourite is chamomile tea.

I actually hate tea, especially hot tea. Except for the peach flavored iced tea from Lipton (I think). I also hate iced coffee. xD

But anyway, the tea I mentioned is the only kind I can stand. I've always felt so out of place, because everyone I've ever met seems to love tea. xD Especially my best friend, she swears by drinking the stuff daily to cure colds. She pretty much just drinks the mint or green flavored stuff exclusively, though.

I'm a tea fanatic, and also a purist! No sugar and no creamer, ever - gross. I love green tea, some citrus blacks (English breakfast tea is disgusting, but a great morning wake-up), traditional roasted and gunpowder teas... they're all delicious! But my favorite by far is jasmine. Oooh jasmine tea. Best stuff in the world.

I also like my tea rather caffeinated. Decaff doesn't do much for me.

Also: Lipton is not tea. It was never tea. It will never be tea. Yuck.

Bahahaha... all of these responses made me smile!! :-)

@Fluffsamasprime : I LOVE anything pumpkin flavored, but I can't do peppermint... Of all the teas with peppermint in them that I've tried, I feel like the peppermint just overpowers anything else in them.

@Anaxilea : I wish I could be a purist when it comes to teas... it would be so much healthier for me and my dentist wouldn't hate me so much for all the sugar I use :-) I have such a bad sweet tooth, though. If I drink coffee, it has to taste like coffee ice cream or I just can't do it. I've gotten a lot better with my teas, though. I used to put like six or seven packets of sugar in each mug of tea years ago... now I stick to like one or two packets (depending on if the flavor of tea is naturally sweet anyways or not). And Oh Heck Yeah for Jasmine Tea!! That's the only tea I've found that I will drink without anything added to it. I used to work for an Asian restaurant in high school, and the owner would always make us Jasmine Tea... it was the first time I had ever tried it. YUM!

And no... Lipton is not tea, agreed :-P Bleh! I also despise Arizona and Nestea teas... but I can do Gold Peak and Nantucket Nectar's iced tea :-)

I love tea, the only one I have with milk is chai... simply because I've never had it without, and suspect it would be weird.
Anyway, in my cupboard at the moment, I have Strawberry and Peach, Lady Grey, Dilmah Ceylon, Green, Healtheries "be sleepy" some blackcurrant and apple, some chai... and for some reason I think there may be another flavour in there but don't ask me what one.

Only Peppermint Tea or Green Tea(the regular one you would get at a Chinese restaurant). Nothing else.

Ooh, if you like naturally sweet tea, try lavender tea. I tried it the other day because I love the smell of lavender, and it was actually too sweet for me Dx I poured it out.

Oddly enough, I love my coffee with sweeteners! Mochas are my favorite c:

I really love the teas made by Lipton. :) Like, the lemon teas. They're really great. I also like sweet and sour teas.

@Carzeebear : Hahaha... I have a cupboard like that, too. So many different half-full boxes and tins of teas, I can in no way remember what is there until I go to heat up my water and try to figure out what I'm in the mood for.

@Anaxilea : Ooo. I'll have to try lavender tea... I love the smell as well :-) Does it come in tea bags or do you buy it loose like most really authentic teas? And mmmmm... mocha is yummy! I like to take a packet of hot chocolate and instead of using water with it, pour in fresh coffee instead (although my tummy is decaying from doing this too often, I'm sure).

----------

@ChiNoMizuumi : I love drinking chamomile tea when I'm de-stressing, relaxing at home, or getting ready for bed. So soothing. I love honey in my chamomile (more than I like adding sugar, definitely)!! Just a little bit is the perfect amount for it to settle nicely in my tummy :-)

@Warrow -- yeah! Exactly~ I start drinking tons and tons of chamomile tea when I'm stressed >w<.... The tea just makes the stress melt away, and the honey makes me melt away
Who needs sugar when you have honey? XD

@ChiNoMizuumi : Yeah, I love honey in most of my teas, but for some reason prefer sugar in some of my more spiced kinds of teas, like Chai... granted I haven't tried honey in Chai, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be right...

@realAniram : What about coffees or cappuccinos?? I'm a big fan of french vanilla cappuccinos or anything with pumpkin or caramel flavoring in my coffee.

I'm not a Tea person, though I wonder why. When I was little I drank tea a lot but now I'm just grossed out when I take a sip of tea. My parents always pester me to drink tea, it'd fix EVERYTHING. That's their statement with the jasmine tea they drink. >>; I just tell them I drink water but they know I lie and drink soda. Either way I'm never drinking tea unless it's sweet or bubble tea. ^^;

@lightkanna : What is bubble tea?? I don't think I've ever heard of that before :-) And have you tried fruity teas (like strawberry or wildberry) with sugar or honey in them... that's pretty sweet! I used to drink soda like it was crack... I needed it regularly. I was finally able to cut it mostly from my diet now, though, and only drink it on special occasions. I've found that when I do actually drink it now, it's so carbonated that it kind of hurts my throat. I'll stick with my water when I'm thirsty, I think.

Bubble tea is.. interesting. It's an iced smoothie made of either green tea with milk and sugar, or fruit and artificial blends with milk and sugar, and at the bottom of the cup, there are about half-inch round balls of either unsweetened tapioca (traditional) or sweetened jelly (American). You poke an extra thick straw through the top to be able to drink it. I like the flavor, but the balls that occasionally come up my straw throw me off a bit, and I still haven't gotten used to them. I also wouldn't consider it tea. xD But you know by now that I'm a snob.

I live in Seattle, where we have a very high Asian population. Bubble tea is pretty popular here because of that - it originated in Taiwan.

Here's the wiki: Bubble tea - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

i love jasmine teas the most.
my favorite is from Japan but i cannot get it in the United States. :squee:
i also love green tea, ginger tea, sleepytime tea, lemon zest tea, peppermint tea.
there are some Christmas teas i like too but can't remember the names of them.
i basically love all teas but none with creamer or milk, not even cold tea.
i don't really like milk and it in turn doesn't like me very much either.
*tummie gurgles just thinking about milk or creamers*
i lived next door to an English lady and she always had tea time in the afternoon.
pretty tea cups and saucers and she always was pushing milk but i never got used to it.
those were really happy times.
i tried bubble tea in Singapore and just loved it.
the bubbles are sort of gummie and chewie and really interesting.
it was a weird thing to taste the first time but after the initial shock i really enjoyed the experience.
*goes to make some tea*

Anaxilea: Thank you for answering her. ^^; I drink it when I can but lately I can't drink it even though my mother passes the Asian bakery inside the Asian store. I'm just like "Mom...you're going right for the exit. The bubble tea is to the right of -" she exits. XD

Warrow8282: I tried honey in one of them but I think I either did it wrong or something because it tasted quite the same and I almost wanted to throw up. I don't like it one bit. Blah~

Green tea with a touch of honey and lemon juice. Also, I really like Typhoo tea with honey and milk. I've started trying the Lipton pyramid teas, and those are actually really good. I love peach flavored things, so I find their white tea and peach flavored one really delicious. I also love chai tea with milk.... Heck, I guess I am a tea fanatic too. :D

I drink plain black tea every evening after dinner. Tea means bonding in my family! We think tea is that important. In Turkey, tea is brewed in two-tiered teapots. First, water is boiled in the bottom tier. Then, tea leaves are put in the top tier and boiling water is added. Cool water is added to the bottom tier so the water in the bottom tier doesn't boil up. Then it's left to brew for about 15 minutes... Ta-da! My sister got a Spanish friend of hers hooked on tea brewed this way. He even bought a two-tiered teapot from the Grand Bazaar before returning home!
