My husband has sleep apnea and so do I... my mask fits me...his doesn't fit him...he snores. AS long as I fall asleep first, I am fine for the night...if he does...I don't sleep at all..

Lucky for me, we go for a new mask fitting for him tomorrow. I look forward to some good sleep on Monday night.

This is totally why I don't get things done at all. And why I stay up late.
But after that it's just my mind keeping me up, always thinking about something XD

Since my sister and I share a room now, I have to turn off my computer around 10pm. Then some nights (Monday & Thursday) I call my boyfriend right as he gets off work, or I just read. I'm not as big of a internet person as my friends think I am. .__.

lightkanna 11-08-2011 05:36 AM

It's only 12am and I'm awake because I slept in the morning all the way until it was 9PM to wake up. D; I fuck up my sleeping schedule so bad, sometime I want to kick someone in the balls. (not really! I'm nice, I wouldn't do it). 8D

p o p p e t ♥ 11-08-2011 09:05 PM

Lol that's basically what keeps me awake at night too. ^^ But, sometimes it's also my husbands snoring -.- or my daughter being sick, or worries/stresses, occasionally zombies. Lol bad dreams of zombies at least.

My kitty. He turns into a ninja at night. He likes pounces on my face, licks me, and them runs around my bed. It's kind of annoying but cute at the same time. So now I kind of banish him into the bathroom after hours. (Yes the toilet seat is down)Now he runs around the bathtub and stuff. He is scared of the sink still. LOL Kittens are awesome.

Worries keep me awake at night. Like worring about stuff that may have happened to me during the course of the day. Or if I am doing something exciting the next day. Sometimes tests keep me awake to. Now that I think about it, lots of things keep me awake at night...

Kokoro chan 11-10-2011 01:35 AM

I get kept awake by teh Internets, Netflix (if I have an interesting show on I get to into it to sleep), or tv or radio on (I need quiet to sleep most of the time). I also have difficulty sleeping when I am fighting with my S/O, or if he has not returned home by the time I am headed to bed, or if I go to bed with a lot of worries on my chest. I also have trouble getting to sleep if I am hungry, which happens kind of frequently.

lightkanna 11-10-2011 04:02 AM

Right now? It's only 11:02PM and because I need my internet time. >>

Draciolus 11-10-2011 07:00 AM

Tonight...it was because I HAD to finish CoD:Modern Warfare 3...on Veteran. That's right, I went there...without trying the other difficulties first. And, of course, its done. And now, when credits are over, I will GLADLY fall asleep, so I am somewhat rested for my visit to the blood suckers. xD

GypsyDancer 11-11-2011 07:28 AM

For me it's my insomnia that I swear is a freaking troll! Other times it's because I'm just active at night, have drawing ideas that I have to draw before I forget them, movies, books... lots of books, the internet because honestly I would go crazy without talking to my online buddies. If I've had a bad day, I'll sit there and imagine the worst possible way to torture those that ruin it since I think death is too easy of an escape. Uh, If I've watched a movie within the past three days that didn't really freak me out when I watched it, but have come to realize it was pretty freaky the more I think about it. And my dogs. They sleep in kennels at night, but sometimes they randomly get up and bark or start fights with each other. -_- I usually have to have some sort of sound, but absolutely no light. So I can listen to the radio or something as long as I put it on a station I don't really like. XD Eh, lately I've just been sleeping without sound and without light. However at my dad's it is hard for me to sleep because it's pitch black dark, eerily silent, and it's in the middle of the woods... like literally. I watch too many psycho killer movies to be comfortable. So I'll leave the closet light on and cracked or take my laptop and dim the screen all the way down and put on some soft music or leave a movie on. That or I sleep on his couch. XD

The inability to become tired and quite missing someone. D;

hippymiester 11-17-2011 09:50 AM

Lady Vengeance 11-19-2011 08:01 AM

Noises keep me awake at night.
I have to sleep wiht the hall light on and/or the television.
I'm afraid of the dark. ;-; Pathetic, I know.
I constantly think somethings going to come out and get me..
Texting and interwebs also keep me awake at night.
So, I'm forever cursed.

Wobbler 11-19-2011 08:21 AM

What keeps me awake sometimes is I watched a scary movie (A real scary one).

Agreed with the OP. The internet is my friend and foe. One site in particular keeps me up, tumblr.
Those who use it know it's danger...
Here is a comic-like example XDD
Hetalia otaku!, a romantic story

Linnea 11-19-2011 09:16 AM

i tend to dwell on the 'shoulda', 'coulda', 'woulda's when i should be sleeping
thinking about all the things i did wrong or should have done different or what i should have said instead of what i did say
it seems i live in the past and feed off retrospection, but if i were a timelord and could go back and change it, i'm not so sure i would... i guess i picked that up when i wasn't sleeping too :P

Kaylesha Blackheart 11-19-2011 05:05 PM

hmm, what keeps me awake at night?

hearing people make drug deals right outside my fence at 2 in the morning occasionally.
The dog barking at said people at 2 in the morning.

insomnia, bad dreams every once in a while.

and playing Skyrim.

SesshysMiko 11-19-2011 08:24 PM

Oh man. A LOT of things keep me awake at night. Sometimes it's a book, a game, a site (*cough*Mene*cough*) or my brain's too full of ideas so I have to write (which is what's been happening lately).

And then sometimes I just can't sleep D;

Shadow4121 11-19-2011 08:38 PM

What keeps me awake at night are all of the dogs barking, police sirens, an occasional gun shot, math homework, language studies, my cat scratching my door in the middle of the night, a really bad dream, too many thoughts, or me being unable to close the book I'm reading until I realize it's almost morning.
Playing loud music distracts me from the noise, and my thoughts, so that's what I do. Don't ask why the loud music doesn't keep me awake, because I don't know. Maybe it's because it's music, and not just a bunch of noise...

lightkanna 11-20-2011 10:07 AM

It's 5:08AM and I don't think that's night. It's morning but I did went to bed and I woke up at 2AM. >>;

the antitwite 11-20-2011 10:46 AM

I am kept awake because night time is the only time where it is quiet enough to really concentrate on a good novel :P and I usually stay up till two reading even though I shouldn't :D

Venya 11-23-2011 01:52 PM

Sometimes my stories tend to keep me up.

SexualPlacebo 11-23-2011 01:59 PM

My brain keeps me awake. I just sit there rolling about waiting for it to finally shut up and let me sleep. It decides to be most active at night. Comes up with some great ideas but when I least care about them.

I also used to make up little stories in my head and stuff, to try and help me sleep. Turns out they only keep me awake longer because I get too interested in what happens next. xD

I also find I can sleep fine if I have nothing to do the next day. If it's a night where I have university at 9am the next morning, my brain will keep me awake until about 5am. ):
