Okay so the make up that will look good on you depends on how you look. i.e. i have big eyes so i avoid putting liner on my top lid cause that minimizes them. as for colors making eyes pop certain colors look good with certain colors of eyes and thats why they make em pop. I do think what your friend does with her eyeliner works too. i cant remember what colors go good with which except gold looks good w/ brown well as well as green.

coverstick is make up in stick form(looks like skin color lipstick) and u use it yo hide zits. personally i think its more helpful just to apply stuff to make the zits go away(I'd recomend zap zit)

really with make up, the less the better. personally i don't wear all that foundation crap(not that i mind if anyone else does) cuz it just feels like a mask and its like ppl should accept you for who you r.

i do apply shadow though and eyeliner cuz its kinda fun :) some basic shadow patterns you can use is
1. pick 3 shadows at least one being a light color
2. middle color on lid, darkest in crease(where ur eyelid kind folds when ur eye is open) and lightest on brow bone(area btw crease and eyebrow

another one:put a skin colorish shadow on ur lid, a color shadow on either side of ur lid on top of that, lightest color on brow bone, and black or brown shadow on lower lash line and just at the corner of ur top lash line

put a nude or light color on ur lid, and put any color in crease going up into brown bone area
