Honestly, as far as area 51 goes, I think there wasn't ever really anything there.. they had another base elsewhere, and area 51 was just there to keep attention away from their real base!!

Yeah, Military bases first, then every place else. That way bases are least guarded at the start, then when people are running to the hills, stores will be left alone...except by looters....but they can be dealt with. Hehe.
