I've seen pictures of those spiders.. so good point!! Avoid Australia!! As far as the ships, I meant a large boat to stay stationed out at sea, and and maybe a couple life boats to return to land to gather.... but I don't know. And you may not have to worry about zombies... but people could still come out and try to raid our ship!! I'm almost wondering what the bigger problem is, zombies, or survivors! |

Honestly, aside from when they've amassed in large groups, zeds are nowhere near as dangerous as humans. They're predictable, like I said earlier. And you can plan for them. But humans are ingenious creatures when they need to be. You never know what they'll come up with. I'd want a ship large enough to get away from land to the point where people won't even consider it a possibility. It doesn't have to be too big, but the size should permit for a large stock of supplies, and enough room for a crew to comfortably live. Restocking would be a problem when it comes around, but either through a smaller boat, or docking for short periods, we'd figure it out. We'd just have to prepare when we docked. If someone understood the pattern, they could prepare for us and try to catch us offguard.

Yeah, therein lies the problem! Not only that though, if we docked, and someone wasn't watching well enough, even just one zombie could mess up everything!!!
Stealing a tank would be cool, leave it on land and use it when we dock! /supposing/ that no one steals it while we're away!! It's hard telling how many survivors there would be, so that's impossible to plan for as mentioned before!! ....stupid humans... XD |

Hijacking a tank would definitely be interesting. Not exactly the most subtle way to go, but I guess once you've got a tank, you're not exactly going for subtlety. And hell, they way this country's going, we may have to get our hands on one with or without a zombie apocalypse.

I dislike most of humanity anyway, I have no qualms handling those who would take me or my friends supplies or shelters. lol. I'm notoriously defensive of my friends.

If there is any fast way to travel on vehicle that I'd approve of, it'd be one of those. Bullet proof means other humans aren't a worry, and worst-case, it could probable hold off a fair number of zombies if we really needed it to.

Just putting it out there, since it's one of my personal favorite ideas... Who would like to help me build my caravan of eighteen-wheelers that have all the furnishings of houses in the back, including each one being equipped with it's own mini-armory in the front with the drivers, and in the back with passengers? I figured if we put like, those big snow plow things on the fronts of them, we could bash zombies out of the way, no problem! XD

Well, it could also be fortified!! Spiked grill for ramming zombies, possibly a turret on the top... sounds epic!

Well, putting spikes on it could be a bad thing... What if zombies get stuck on the spikes? Then you have to worry about cleaning them off every day before sleeping for the night, or else you've got 'live' zombies too close to your home base.

I will say if it was T-virus, G-Virus, or some kind of mutating virus that created monsters and zombies, I would dive head-first into trying to find out who did it and go into the heart of it. I want to see there biggest, baddest monsters!

well, that's a good point. But I guess that's when you shoot them and scrape them off!! :p I didn't really envision spikes anyways, I just forgot what I was originally gonna say, so that came out!! haha

Fuel is definitely still an issue, as it is with any mobile plan. I'm just trying to make it all as practical as possible. If I'm going on the road, you can bet I'm going to think it all through, and then overthink it a bit for good measure.
