Ending 2011 Single?

But I too am ending my year single o:. But oh well, I guess I just have to wait for the right guy, yaknow?

Im ending this year in the same status as the last 6 or 7. Single, and not going out to spend my hard earned money on drinks that are 3x what I could pay at the liquor store near me.

I'm ending the year single too.

A guy that I was in love with (at least, he was the only one I've ever even considered special enough to use the word "love" with) for the past three years got married this year. I went through several "I'm fine" cycles where one second I'd feel alright with the situation and then the next I'd go: "Lol nope, still can't stop feeling for him". That kind of screwed up a few potential new erm... flings(?) (I don't know what word to use for those failed experiments).

It took a while, but right now I'm actually content with being single. It was a little liberating to finally stop thinking about that sort of thing.

I'm sorry to hear about your own experience. I had a friend recently go through something similar (in which I had to break it to her that he was, in fact, more into men. Awkward times abound).

I just broke up with my now EX girlfriend almost a month ago. We are still friends though.

But I am thinking about asking her back out on new years so technically I am ending the year single but starting the new year taken. That is... if she says yes.

Ditto. Only two guys have ever noticed me openly. One was my guy friend and I was 14 so it was creepy and the other was a highly Catholic Italian guy in my(college) English 1B class in '08 who told me he was afraid my soul would go to hell because I am not Catholic and I don't believe divorce is a sin(long story). He creeped me out so I was glad that the end of the semester meant the end of him as he was transferring schools.

Apparently most guys must prefer a girl who wears pretty revealing girly clothes like skirts and low cut blouses and makeup over a jeans and t-shirt girl who doesn't really have anything in the chest area to reveal anyway.

I am a hopeless romantic and long for the time when I will find a boyfriend who I am really close with to share my life with.
At least being the jeans and t-shirt no chest girl means that my guy will be a real man because he will have a good heart and not be in love with me for what I look like.

Not single per say but it's complicated. It's kind of one of those relationships where I love her but I'm not too sure if I should stay with her but I can't leave her because she's having a kid in a few months. I should probably be single since she lied and cheated on me but I'm not.

I don't get that either. Long distance does not equal to single. My fiance tried to use that logic on me and it just does not go over well. Let's just say I do not trust her any more.

I am single, but luckily I am over the trauma that made me single (No he didn't die, he was just a really big jerk and I was to naive to see the truth for a while)

I'm ending this year single as well, just like every single year of my life. Though I do like one of my friends that lives all the way in Massachusetts -w-, but I live in Nevada. Though I'm pretty damn sure that he really likes me as well. But we both agreed that we are not going to date until we actual meet each other and whatnot -3-

Um these two statements(the bolded although it doesn't show up well with your color and font) are contradictions. First you said you had a boyfriend but long distance and thus considered yourself single somehow(a long distance relationship is still a relationship), and now you say that you have never dated this guy. Yet you called him your boyfriend?

I am sorry but you are making no sense.
If you were in the beginning intending to refer to a guy who is your friend than you misused the term boyfriend, the term you want is guy friend.

I met my exhusband when I was 16 and he was my first boyfriend/girlfriend. So yeah, no hurry to be in a relationship. They just cause drama anyway. :P

Yep, my 2011 will be spent with me, myself, and my music, as it always has been. :p

Yeah, definitely single this year. But I'm not really looking either. I'm focusing on school for now. Maybe after I finish in a few semesters I'll start looking.
