I'm taking EMT classes next Wednesday, on January 25. I want to be a volunteer EMT for my town, and the minimal joining age is 16 1/2. People that are 16 1/2 or 17 join the Probationary Youth Squad. But because I'm 18 and just starting, I'm going straight to the Senior Squad. Woohoo!

My classes are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at night from 6:45 to 10:30. And there's a mandatory weekend class that sudents MUST attend. You can pick either Saturday or Sunday. I start next weekend. They are from 8 AM to 4 PM.

The classes are free, but my parents DO have to pay $140 or $150 for books, and I need to bring $15 for my CPR book.

The classes start on January 25 and end on June 14. :D

I was going to take classes to be an EMT then move on to an urgent care once I get my nursing degree. I figure since I have most of that degree done already I can finish that in less than a semester.
