Someone who doesn't expect me to fit into the social stereotypes.
|
Ah, this is a fun little question, and I always like to answer these types of things. Anyway, I haven't been through a ton of relationships, but I've never been the one who needed that in her life to know what she wants/would like.
I would like somebody who will spend time getting to know me, and make me his best friend before trying to go out with me, because I have absolutely terrible trust issues. Dating me without getting to know me is like...dating a brick wall. BUT, I also need that person to make a move BEFORE we enter into complete and utter "forever friend" territory. I also need somebody who knows how to nudge me out of my bad moods without pissing me off all the time. Oddly enough, that usually just means a loving hug and a little joking around. ^.^ If you don't know how to do this...our relationship won't last. Finally, I need someone who can see past my false smiles. If you can't tell when I'm not really happy, then we also won't last long. It really isn't hard to see when I'm not happy...and if you don't care enough to try and help me...well...we've yet again got problems. But, mostly, I just want loyalty, affection, and real love that isn't totally sexually based. I don't like shallow at all. ^.^" |
Relationship? Hm.
I'm not sure. I would want maturity, that's a must, and maybe a hint of humor in the other person. I'd like it if they didn't shower me with compliments and were honest when asked questions about appearances. I'm very self conscious so I believe that honesty is the best policy. Even if it hurts, because then I'd know how to become a better person physically and internally. I'd want the other person to have a good heart. And think with it. Thinking with a brain is like thinking with a rule book. Where as, hearts will always be free. Now, I'm not saying that what the heart says is always correct, it's just that, the brain is very... constricting.. Or rather... "Inside the box" so to speak... I'd want to be able to do something for the other person, not just depend on them. |
I want someone who will be there when I need them. someone who loves to talk and loves to listen as well. someone who will understand that I have problems and they cannot always be solved right away. hmm I know there is more I just don't know it right now.

What I want to have in a relationship is companionship. I want someone who truly cares about me, who has respect for me, who I can trust to lean on in hard times, someone I enjoy being around, someone I can confide in, someone who cares about and respects themselves, and someone who wants these same things from me.
