My brother went to scottland... he was complaining about being drained in 15 seconds. [lol]
Oh... and the midges (sp?)

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 07:30 PM

I'm in California, USA.
Not very spectacular.
[gonk]

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 07:39 PM

@ Butt - Hey at least you get sunlight... *pouts*

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 07:41 PM

You don't get sunlight?
That's terrible!

I guess it is nice that we get sunlight, but we never get snow!
I mean, I don't know if I'd like it, but it's really pretty.

RoadToGallifrey 10-14-2012 07:57 PM

Well if you don't hang around in the woods midges aren't a problem since they stay near trees :)

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 07:58 PM

What is a midges? o:

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 08:20 PM

I live 2 states above you so no... not really there is usually a blanket of clouds above us.

Midges are bugs... and according to my brother they hurt... (I dunno if he's just a wuss about it though)

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 08:55 PM

What the heck.
i've never heard of them in my life.
o.o

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 09:00 PM

Neither had I... I think they're a sort of fly
We don't have them here XD thankfully

Grumman_Goose 10-14-2012 09:42 PM

they are tiny little flies that bite you, I was a bloody buffet when I went and I was there for less then 24 hours! they are about 1mm across and look sorts clear in sunlight and are in little clouds that float around... disgusting little creatures...

i3utts3x 10-14-2012 09:43 PM

Interesting...
They sound made up, almost mystical.
*o*

Grumman_Goose 10-14-2012 09:43 PM

yeah it's a shame that they are very much real... be thankful you don't have them

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 09:45 PM

Haha... so they are as bad as they were described...

Grumman_Goose 10-14-2012 09:46 PM

yes your brother got them spot on

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 09:47 PM

I heard stories of the group of friends he went with that they hid inside and used anything they could to cover the small hole in their window screen.

Grumman_Goose 10-14-2012 09:55 PM

oh yeah thats understandable, midges are a missive pain in the arse

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 10:01 PM

Are they in Ireland too? o.o I hope not my friend wants to visit there...

RoadToGallifrey 10-14-2012 10:01 PM

Wow, you guys are such pussies! xD Midges aren't that bad at all haha

The Wandering Poet 10-14-2012 10:02 PM

lol... horse flies hurt like hell and I've been told midges are the same way...

RoadToGallifrey 10-14-2012 10:03 PM

My town always has a load of midges down near the ferry because there's trees and water and they're not that bad at all! xD They're annoying but they definitely don't hurt (and I am such a wuss when it comes to pain so if I think they're fine, they're fine) xD

Grumman_Goose 10-14-2012 10:07 PM

yeah well your used to them.... we don't get them here in Essex... we have fruit flies and bluebottles a plenty... it's ridiculous the amount we have here o_O

I never said they hurt just a pain in the arse

RoadToGallifrey 10-14-2012 10:10 PM

It was Poet that said they hurt. xD I do agree about them being annoying, but it's a minor annoyance a

jellysundae 10-14-2012 10:26 PM

Peot needs to look for episodes of Towie on Youtube or something, so he can see how bad Essex really is xD

I've seen stuff about Scottish midges on TV, you can keep 'em!!

RoadToGallifrey 10-14-2012 10:33 PM

Thanks to Towie, vajazzling is now a thing /shudder

jellysundae 10-14-2012 10:34 PM

OMG yeah, forgot about that [lol]
