I can't help but relate to this... always happens :(

Shadami 06-23-2013 03:18 AM

same here. But when its tornados i say pass on by please. don't come near me!

The Wandering Poet 06-23-2013 03:19 AM

True... but the worst we get is sudden rain.

Shadami 06-23-2013 06:36 PM

i hear thunder!! *crosses fingers*

The Wandering Poet 06-23-2013 07:37 PM

Wishing for it or not wanting it? o.o

Shadami 06-23-2013 07:40 PM

wishing for it. and... it passed right by us... didn't get any rain or lightning.

The Wandering Poet 06-23-2013 11:26 PM

I'm hesitant to wish for lightning nowadays...

Shadami 06-24-2013 01:24 AM

yeah. i remember springs and summers being so many more lightning storms here in NY. now they're like... non existant.

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 02:45 AM

I used to love thunderstorms but... I had a lightning strike or two a bit too close for comfort...

Shadami 06-24-2013 03:01 AM

yeah. i've seen strikes come down in front of me. very scary.

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 03:02 AM

Yeah. I had 2 light up the whole house, so they were definitely close... o.o and very bright

Shadami 06-24-2013 03:09 AM

oh, when they're that bright, the closeness can be an illusion. though i had some that actually shook the house. they scared the crap out of me.

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 03:11 AM

Oh yeah that's happened too @[email protected] but I've never seen it get that bright before...

Shadami 06-24-2013 03:14 AM

i have. They can be amazingly bright even if they're still rather fall away. and if your inside a house. You are very likely safe. I wouldn't worry to much. :]

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 03:18 AM

My worry is mainly the damage it can do to your eyesight o.o

Shadami 06-24-2013 03:20 AM

that... i have no idea on. xD

i would think not because its to quick..

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 03:54 AM

I've just heard a lightning strike too close can blind you o.o

Shadami 06-24-2013 04:43 AM

maybe if its so close that you actually get elecrecuted it messes with things? Cause i know if it strikes a tree and your within... what 30 feet of it? the current will have traveled underground and can still hit you. Just not the severe damage like possible death of actually getting hit.

The Wandering Poet 06-24-2013 04:51 AM

I've heard a ton of survival stories of electrocuted people though so it may also depend if it can transfer off of you as well

Shadami 06-24-2013 12:07 PM

yeah there's got to be a energy outlet somehow.

Pistachio_Moustache 09-28-2013 04:28 AM

It won't add someone twice, right?
xD
It's totally smart like that, right?
