The dances were....interesting to say the least. Not to mention all the songs dealt with the main character trying to get with the girl...

So no. Rather not. :P

Lexadis 05-02-2014 01:46 AM

All Bollywood films have dancing. I quite don't understand the meaning of it though, even though they are pretty good sometimes. I mean, a girl smiles at a girl as she turns back and the guy imagines up a song. The guy surprises the girl on her birthday by getting her a gift and there starts another song. The guy holds a girl's hand (and it was just for some emergency reasons, not at all romantical!) and then the heroine thinks up a song, which started with 'this ack guy holder my hand just now and I felt love blooming from the inside' -snort-

I've not watched Krrish myself, I guess the only Hindi films I've watched are RaOne and Chennai Express, because they were Shah Rukh Khan's [love]

But Bollywood dancing is fun! Well not very [ninja]

APBCole 05-02-2014 02:00 AM

Apparently Krrish was made in a way to be like a Hollywood film in terms of the CGI and stuff. It really had alot of special effects. It went off the rails the moment aliens came into the picture or the fact Krishna should have gotten so many bad burns whilst the circus tent is on fire...and...well...

Weird film. Weird weird film. Bollywood cinema is interesting. I'm definitely getting into Bollywood films even if they're all 3 hours long.

Lexadis 05-02-2014 02:06 AM

I have to watch it then! It amuses me to think that you like Bollywood films for some reason I can't comprehend [rofl]
But I feel like Tamil ones are much easy for me, I don't need to keep reading the subtitles that way :D
Not all films are three hours long, I can assure you :D most of them are only 2 hours and only in some films you get 3 hours. 3 idiots was a 3 hour long film, but even so, I can watch it at any given time of the day XD what movie will you be watching next?

APBCole 05-02-2014 02:12 AM

I am probably going to watch Koi...Mil Gaya. The film before Krrish then Krrish 3. I'm watching it out of order because I got introduced to the trilogy out of order. Despite it, Bollywood cinema is one of my new favorite types of film in existence. There's something about the series. It just...is far too good for me to even comprehend. I can't believe that i've never seen any Indian cinema before Wednesday.

But see Krrish at the next chance you get. It's so funny.

Lexadis 05-02-2014 02:19 AM

Seeing out of order will not be confusing, so there's nothing to think about it [yes] usually they are totally different, except for maybe the main storyline [lol]

And don't talk about it being good, I can't stop laughing thinking about it [rofl]
I'm planning on watching.. I forgot the name o_0

Oh I remembered it XD it was veeram. The idea of the actor acting as his own age and instead of being obvious that he is a forty year old man who acts like some funny college student appeals to me [lol]

What would you be doing after uni or college or whatever you're going to? Actor? Film producer? Director? Or is the definition of a film producer and director the same? [ninja]

---------- Post added 05-02-2014 at 07:55 AM ----------

Reading that it shows four people from Sri Lanka on the front page is killing me [rofl]

APBCole 05-02-2014 02:27 AM

I'm trying to be a director. I don't have enough directing under my belt though. I've really only directed one film on my campus and that's about it. I just don't know enough. But umm...producer and director aren't the same. They both work together on the film but the director has more of a say than the producer does. Producing seems like something i'll even try to but not today. Down the line though. Maybe next semester or something.

Still, I really dig Bollywood. I will dedicate alot of my summer to seeing Bollywood films. They seem nothing short of amazing.

Lexadis 05-02-2014 02:31 AM

Hmm so is it producer who is thinking about the plot and stuff? Or the director? Or is there someone else for that job? And so.. You make sure that the actors act their part properly?

[rofl]

APBCole 05-02-2014 02:37 AM

Produce mostly does stuff related to locations and actors alongside other things about a set. Scheduling as well. Director typically works on alot of stuff related to what is best for a film shoot alongside a wide list of other things.

The producer definitely has a lot of influence though as they typically are always around the director alot.

Lexadis 05-02-2014 02:45 AM

Then who gives the idea of the movie? Um.. The story line, the plot, the characters?

APBCole 05-02-2014 01:57 PM

Screenwriter. Story gets credited to original creator by an entirely separate credit but the screenwriter typically does a separate draft of the film in order to make it workable for film.

Lots of different roles in films. Those are more of the major ones.

Lexadis 05-02-2014 04:16 PM

I better not think about all those different stuff in movie production though, it seems like a big pile of stuff I don't know anything about [ninja]

APBCole 05-02-2014 04:27 PM

There is so many different roles. Especially in Hollywood productions. Reasons why credits are so long.

Lots and lots of important roles.

Lexadis 05-05-2014 04:28 AM

Who reads those credits anyway? [XD] [rofl]
Well I don't [ninja]

Pistachio_Moustache 05-05-2014 03:06 PM

I do.
D:

I like to find off the wall names.
xD

Lexadis 05-05-2014 03:55 PM

Woah did I find someone who actually reads the credits? [:D]

Pistachio_Moustache 05-05-2014 03:58 PM

Yes, yes you did.
xDD

Shadami 05-08-2014 12:43 AM

i read the credits. I like to pick out the most foreign looking name and try to pronounce it outloud. my brother and i do that for fun :D

Seridano 05-08-2014 02:55 AM

I am now seeing 14 people in MA. Who are you!?!?!?!

Shadami 05-13-2014 07:30 PM

I don't believe you as i'm also from Ohio.

My current place of residence is in Worthington, OH. However, my home will always be in Maine. I grew up in Tenants Harbor and grew up some more in Westbrook. I will always love Maine. Ah, memories...

Ohio is alright, I suppose. At least we have Lake Erie, although it's over an hour away. :( Where I grew up, the ocean was just a short drive away, a maximum of twenty minutes. Then I move here, and everyone thinks it's okay to not have an exceptionally large body of water to go look at for hours... for free! And it's saltwater, so it's better. Don't even get me started on hurricane season. Absolutely breathtaking and powerful!

APBCole 05-20-2014 02:39 AM

You forgot about Cedar Point.

How dare you!
