Woah! Its cool to see people are from all over the world.
I'm from Colorado, it seems so boring now. [gonk] |
To someone at the other end of the world would Colorado seem boring? Nope! [froggy]
Everywhere seems interesting when it's somewhere "away", doesn't it?
*nodding wisely, which looks weird on my face* Yes, yes. The grass is always greener on the other side.
The only reason where I live sucks is that it's too dang cold! [illgetu]
Tonight is okay.. like in the 50s. But it's too damn warm for this time of year. It's.. wrong. All wrong.
It's pretty cold where I am, as well. Piling on the blankets at night!

Holy duck farts! You people are everywhere! lol
I'm from Ohio, but I'm originally from Maine, unless you count the first four weeks of my life which was spent in Louisiana. I was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, but we moved to Maine because mom needed help raising me while dad worked his butt off so he could feed us. My mom has epilepsy and has beat brain cancer three times. Maine was a lovely place and we lived mainly in the midcoast and southern (read: Bostonized Maine) parts of it. First we lived in Portland, but I don't remember much of it other than the library where my playpen was. I'm blaming that location for my insatiable appetite for big and thick books. Om nom nom nom... But after that, we moved into a tiny yellow Cape Cod house in Tennants Harbor. If you look at it now, it has certainly seen better days and the property has sort of gone to pot, but if you just beat back the weeds and trim the hedges and re-do the paint job, it will look just as positively charming as it did in the 90s. We later moved from there because it became tiring for my dad to drive a whole two hours to his job in Portland, so we found ourselves in a great big white Cape Cod house. That is where I spent most of my time in Maine. We had a big bay window in the dining room which was perfect for weather watching. The Nor'easters heading up the coast were the most beautiful and terrifying to watch. When Katrina finished ripping up the South, we had the pleasure of watching the dying, yet still powerful remnants of it roar up the coast. But dad soon found a great job offer in Columbus, Ohio, and I was old enough to take care of myself well enough. So we moved to Ohio. It's okay here. I like the country side, but it's just not the same as Maine. A little snowflake falls and rush hour gets worse. Ohioans are nuts. One thing I don't understand about central Ohioans is that they complain about the snowplow service, but they don't get one for the front of their trucks. Mainers did that. I don't remember one family or household that didn't own a plow fixed to the front of their truck. I think the roads were fabulous because of that. Oh well. And the northern lights were just wonderful. I'd tell you to move north to see the beauty of it all, but us Northerners like the North because it is not crowded like it is down here. So please stay south of us. lol Just kidding. But yeah, that is the story of my life so far. |
Actually I live in Belgium, maybe I'll stay here till the end of my days who knows, but originally I'm from France, north of, to be clear. Today was a clod day, my honey is belgian but I hope he will come with me to the south of my country when we'll be old, I really hate to be cold. x.x

There is a lot more people from my state, SC, than I thought there would be. It makes me happy but then again only 10 out of the whole state. [wha]
Lots of Menewshans in my country (the United States of America), and also quite a few in my state!
I'm in Florida and it's just now getting "cold". That is, it's not in the 80's anymore. I hate it, because I slightly prefer cold to heat. Unfortunately, it's usually hot here. My joints don't like the cold but everything else does. I get overheated WAY too easily.
I used to live in Michigan and we'd usually wear winter jackets over our costumes! It would already be cold in November, and here it doesn't get anywhere near cold until February, and then it's gone. |
It is pretty chilly where I am now. Hoping for a white Christmas this year! (Meaning -- snow on Christmas day!)
You're very welcome to all the snow where you are, so I don't get any. [ninja]
Well, I certainly do not enjoy shoveling it :P so let's not make it too thick of a snow layer! |
//rests her chin in her palm Looks like I'm all alone.
And it's very exotic to imagine places that are away from home, even if it's in the same country. |
Where are you, Jupiter?
