My hair is long, and thick. It used to be much longer, but now it's just some past my shoulders. I had it cut really short once accidentally, like an inch long. But usually I just wear it in ponytails because it's way too much work to do anything with. I can't stand it in my eyes, but I don't have much patience to mess around with it. (Haha, never really did a lot of styling either, so I don't have the practice either. The first time I tried doing an actual style everyone kept asking me if I had just gone out clubbing the night before. ^^; )
As for how my hair grows? D : Long and fast. And thick. From the time I ended up with an unintentional pixie cut to when it reached my shoulders was maybe four to six months, I think. All I do is wash and brush it, I wouldn't even know where to begin with any kind of real hair products. ;; @LoveAria: That is really pretty hair. : D I'd be proud of that too, you look good! @LouieRae: My, that is long hair. Heh, they probably won't recognize you. |
I usually just shampoo and condition everyday with every shower because my hair is so long and thick. Plus it don't help that I work fast food so it gets nasty real quick. I want to put a colored streak in it but, since my hair is naturally such a dark brown it looks black I don't know how to go about doing it.

So yeah, I am trying to let my curls work with the style a bit. |
Cherry, if your hair breaks off at the roots is might be a thyroxine issue. My hairdresser told me about this because mine has snapped at the roots the last 4 times that I had it permed. Bit of an under-active thyroid, maybe. I'm taking a kelp supplement again now, to try and counter that. Kelp is great for your hair.
My scalp flakes right at the front, I don't call it dandruff though, I think that's more of a condition and most people just have a flakey scalp because the scalp doesn't get exfloriated the way the rest of your skin does. Head and Shoulders is nasty stuff, something my hairdresser told me years ago; they did a ph test on it in college, and the stuff is basically paint stripper. It sorts out flakey scalps by stripping the top layer of skin from your head. |
You know, I had been kinda wondering if my thyroid was a bit messed up due to my astronomically low energy levels, but as I don't have a problem with weight, I figured that wasn't it.
It's not really at the roots, though, it's more like two or three inches out. |
