First Days
I've just had my first day at the job i've just started at Whataburger. It was very intense. I spent most of the time working on fries and my feet and back were killing me by the time my time was up.
Going back this evening 8 pm to 4 am shift for the next couple of days. Apparantly people crave Whataburger at 3 am on the weekends quite a bit. lol. Anybody want to share their first day stories? =3 |
It's not surprising people crave fast food at strange hours on a weekend. Alcohol is likely to be consumed and that creates the munchies. xD
My first days of work have all sucked. My first night working in a pub there was some horribly cheesy country and western singer with a fake American accent. He did my tits in big style. Then all the old fogies doing line dancing annoyed me and all. xD My first day at a clothes shop a till broke on me, so that put the kibosh on the whole job. xD |
I'm not going to list all the jobs I ever had but my most recent jobs was me pretty much being in training for the first few days. The department store wasn't too bad since I worked retail before but McDonalds was something different. Fast food brings in the most interesting people and some of the worst kinds of people.

The first few days at my job were so awkward. It was an office job and I was taking over for another girl in my school. It was a real estate job and I knew quite a bit about it since my mom had been working with it for a long time.
On my second day of the job my boss sat me down and flopped a huge binder infront of me. He then proceeded to tell me what I could and couldn't wear and how my hair had to look and how I was not allowed to get any piercings. He didn't even like my ears pierced. I quit 4 months later because he told me that I wasn't allowed to have a social life. |
Well, my first days, I always remembered standing around terrified of what to do or not do.
One of my last jobs, people kept stealing beer during my shift. They'd use cons on me, like one person would pretend to need help, while the other snuck behind the aisles and grabbed the beer. Then they both would run and peel out in the car. D : That was not fun. @Aria: That sounds like .. an awful job. Since you were taking over, did they keep comparing you to that other girl then too? |
oofa I work at McDonalds too and I remember my first day I came in,watched the training video and then got put on assembly table to help make 250 cheeseburger happy meals for a field trip

My first day in college. I was kinda lost and alone. I feel like I'll be all by myself in my studies but then I found some friends to talk to and we started to hang out and be together the whole time. It was fun.

My first job was at a record store, it was owned by my friend.
So, on the first day I was in charge of inventory and making sure the store looked presentable for the opening day. It wasn't a hard job at all, quite enjoyable actually. The customers weren't always the best, lots of stuck up hipsters. :lol: |
I'd love to work in a music shop. :drool:
