That's cool. I guess that's all I will need to do to make sure I don't accidently update and can't use programs. I should probably warn my mom too who just went out and got the iPad2. I told her I would splurge and buy the newer one, but she of course wanted to save the money.

I was thinking about getting some kind of keyboard for my iPad. I'm alright for just typing most of the time but when I'm trying to IM with friends it sometimes takes me about four attempts to get the keyboard and autocorrect to accept the word I'm trying to use.

I recommend the Zagg Folio - it is expensive, but very sturdy and folds up nicely. I haven't had enough time to test out the battery life, but it is suppose to be very very long so that you aren't charging it but once every month or so?
Most apps seem to be fine with it. Safari works like a charm. I had problems typing in an app where it would think I pushed the button twice but I think it was an in app issue and not the keyboard itself. So far I'm very happy with it, and my mom got one too but hers is the blue one and mine is the black one. |

The cheapest I've seen the set for is $75 for the black case and keyboard. You can get them refurbished on Ebay for $50, though.

Targus makes an alright one, but one thing that sucks is how you have to hit the question mark key is a bit strange...that was the whole reason I decided against getting that one.

How do you charge the Zagg Folio?

It has a lithium ion battery, which you charge using a micro-usb charger. It looks to be the same size as any standard micro port, so if you have a cellphone, or other device using one it should be interchangeable. It comes with a USB charger (no block to plug into a wall, but you could use the one that came with the iPad). I'm glad as I hate proprietary cables...

There are some cheap ones on Amazon (UK) with decent reviews. I'd be fine with just a keyboard rather than the combination case thing.

*shrugs* Since I use this on a daily basis I would want to make sure it works as it is suppose to. You can find some super cheap ones on Ebay shipped from china....but it's china, right? XD

My hubby usually gets food stuff for me that I like...like gummy bears or beef jerky. He's gotten me flowers a handful of times, and I enjoy them too but it's a pretty rare occurance. |
