I recently found out about this song and video called Dumb ways to die, and I thought I'd share.

I thought about posting this in the Media forum, but then I figured, why limit the conversation to the awesomeness of this video and why not take the discussion further and mention other dumb ways to die.

The first one I can think of that's not in this video is the cinnamon challenge, where you put a whole tablespoon of pure cinnamon powder in your mouth and try to swallow. I imagine people may have choked to death trying this.

I love that video! I saw it at the weekend, it's incredibly catchy yet also pretty educational with the last three (although they should be common knowledge a lot of people chance their luck and lose). It's definitely an advertising win by Metro Australia :)

I didn't think you could choke doing the cinnamon challenge since you can't actually swallow it? :/

Well, the people who have attempted the challenge are choking/coughing because the cinnamon is such a thin powder that it can slip into your trachea and ultimately can be life threatening. That's why cinnamon is dangerous to swallow dry for it can scar your lungs pretty badly.

Just watch 1000 Ways to Die on Spike. 1KWtD seriously has the stupidest deaths. Suffocating to death from being burried by bags of money that fall on you during an earthquake. Sticking stuff up your bum and having them break and you bleed out. Taking drugs and due to hallucinations driving into an empty pool. Giving a dead racoon mouth to mouth and getting hit by a car. Electricution due to dancing in the rain during a storm and wearing a bra with metal bits.

People are just stupid.

Older gentlemen are known to have heart attacks during sex. It's usually if they have a younger trophy wife though because they tend to get tuckered out
