If they didn't want anyone else to read them, they wouldn't post them in a public place. That's Flink's stance on it.

But usually they say, "Well, I wanted the gold! :(" Maybe so, but it's in a public place, so anyone can read it.

As a roleplayer I can say it's not bad etiquette. We write these roleplays for everyone's enjoyment. Or at least I do. And Typically if someone DID want to join in I would ask my partner and work someone in. But as long as you don't randomly jump into a private roleplay, or steal the characters, ect, you should be okay.
