I've heard A LOT of controversy on this subject: does it, or does it not make your body/stomach dry?
I'm confused and I have no idea who to trust.

I see no reason why it would. I always chew gum when I want a drink but have no way to get one because it makes my mouth produce saliva.

I can't see why it would.. any liquid from saliva goes back into the body anyways. o_o

i do know that chewing gum can be bad for your stomach and your jaws. although i doubt it would dehydrate you unless you spit alot while chewing it.
