I want to go on a fun date with my boyfriend, something new but I can't think of what. Neither of us is into bowling, rollerskating, dancing, typical date stuff (I guess according to the internet). We do go on movies and dinners. We love books but have to avoid book stores for fear of our wallets, same goes for video game stores. I know we're boring . Yet I do wanna add something. Any ideas guys ?
I'm biased towards aquariums. When shaun took me to one it was so pretty. I was pretty much his forever lol.
There's also ice skating. There's a local rink near me and that date only cost about $25. Rinks aren't everywhere though so I have no clue if one is nearby.
I've always wanted to go on a date to an aquarium but every time I visit one I try to take a starfish home so I probably wouldn't get a second date if that were the case.
I think it would be cool to see a comedy show or a play or something like that. Live action :)
Has anyone said an Arboretum? Maybe visit a quirky bookstore together and find out what kind of things interest the two of you in terms of subject matter? Browse the books and discuss?
How about visiting a museum together? You can also look up some calendars for local events, maybe there's an interesting exhibition or a fun event going on somewhere near you?

Maybe you could go to a public library, if you like books and those type of resources. If it's summer where you are at present you could go to a park/public garden. And like others have mentioned have a picnic.

I'm actually quite curious. Have you ever succeeded?
Sadly no :( I was so close at the sea world in Toronto but one of the workers caught me slipping it under my tshirt and just before I moved onto the next room he told me to put it back
Seriously, picnics. A way to anyone's heart, man or woman, is good food. Since I'm Asian and my partner is German, it's all sammiches and bentou!
Oh my, that does sound lovely! Having two cultures in a relationship that are this different when it comes to food must make for interesting picnics indeed. You're making me want to pack something unusual and eat it in the park.

Lead him to the under croft with talk of romance and then cut his heart from his body to sacrifice to the dark lord of your choosing. Nothing is more romantic than delivering a gift of the heart.
Is there a park or fairgrounds that is active this time of the year? Maybe a little fun and relaxing somewhere around the location would be nice.
Or if there is any nature trails in your area, it could turn out nice to take a walk and find somewhere to hang out for a while, just you two and the tree's.
I recently went on a date where my partner and I went to museums and then hiked most the day. It was nice expect the part where we had to cross rope bridges. Then at night we drove to the beach and just sat there and talked for a few hours while star watching. It was awesome.
We seem to end up at the beach a lot and just sitting there and talking or at a park where it's quiet and we can just enjoy eachother's company. I have a thing for stars so I'll ask him to go somewhere where we can see the stars a lot too. He seems to enjoy it as well.
Arcades are fun date spots as well. I hate going to movies so anything that keeps me active is a plus in my book. Anywhere loud I normally like to avoid because sometimes I just want quiet time and time to just be with him. Other times, we go to concerts, clubs, and stuff like that. It all depends on how much talking you want to do.
for my birthday my boyfriend made the whole day a date. we took the bus to the mall area, had coffee, went to the pet store, the halloween store, a movie, we wrote notes to each other while we had lunch, bought chalk and grafitied the place (outdoor mall) with out initials "j+v" the night ended with us bar hopping in our historic part of town. it was a lovely day. we took pictures and posted them on facebook as we were doing them. great to document things like this
I'm not sure if any of these have already been said, but I'll give them a shot anyways. :)
Some of these might depend on how long you've been together as well.
You could go camping in your backyard, with a tent and everything. If you have a fire pit, make smores and watch the stars. <3 Or, make questionnaires for each other. For example, make a sheet with a series of questions on it like...
"When I first saw you, I thought _______"
"I like when you call me ______"
"It's really cute when_______"
You know, questions like that. :)
Depending on where you live, kite flying!
