What's your Halloween Costume?

Alright since there wasn't many replies I just went out and bought the best super hero costume of life. 8D

NEW TOPIC!

Whatcha guys dressin' up as for Halloween?

SPOILERX

HEY GUYS!

I have decided to seek your ideas and stuff (I think I'm in the right place and this is allowed...if I get punished for this, I hope it's by jelly [drool])...moving along..

So next Saturday I will be in Chicago for a work conference (actually leaving on Wednesday so I apologize for the Randeh withdrawals some of you will suffer) and we always have a big networking event for our clients that night. On top of that it's always themed! For example in Phoenix we had a western night, in Vegas we had a Casino Royale night, in Atlanta we did an 80's party and this time it's Super Heroes! Wicked cool, I know.

My problem is, with 200+ attendees there are always duplicate costumes so I have made it my "thing" to always think outside of the box. For example, in Phoenix I dressed up like a horse, in Vegas I dressed up as a playing card and in Atlanta I dressed up as Super Mario (he was created in the 80's). I'm not even kidding either. Check out my Mario swag (please note for those of you considering this outfit, find something other than a feather pillow for belly stuffing, I almost died of heat dancing with that beast in there!)

IMAGE 1 & IMAGE 2

So this event I want to think outside the box again.

My "best" idea right now is a bank robber (since all heroes need someone to chase). But it's not really that clever.

We already have people dressing up as nurses, firefighters and doctors (unsung heroes) and of course every super hero you can think of.

I also thought of dressing in all black and making a finger super hero (see image here)

Nothing seems clever enough though. So I'm throwing it out to you guys - what is creative, clever and "outside the box" as well as relatively simple to do between now and when I leave on Wednesday? LOL

Final note - if I end up going as a super hero I might go as Professor X from X-Men, if the hotel has a wheel chair. Bald cap and sitting all night? Hell yes.

Maria-Minamino 09-05-2013 08:53 PM

lmao the finger super hero is pretty funny XDDD

I don't know - Captain Underpants maybe? XDDD

Or just...I dunno - dress up as the batman beacon instead of batman?

Or someone's car or weapon of choice? Xd

R a n d e h 09-06-2013 02:02 AM

Haha I love the finger guys!

Captain Underpants is being done by my co-worker otherwise it probably would have been top pick! Best costume!
I loved the batman beacon idea AND the weapon!

Since there was such an abundance of replies on here (darn you creative people being busy with your lives) I decided to head on down to Spirit Halloween, since it opened this week and check things out for myself!

Ended up buying a Banana costume and a cap. I have an eye mask too. Going as SUPER BANANA!

Lame enough to be AWESOME.

So I will change this topic to something new!

Zombie Pixie 09-06-2013 06:04 AM

I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years >_<
Im so exciting irl i know x3

Halloween isn't a massive thing in the UK, and i think it's a bit silly the things people do really. Hardly anyone answers their doors anywho, so i'm not sure why people still bother..The only time i've ever done the whole dress up/trick or treat thing was when i was about four years old. My mom stuck a hole in a bin bag and put my in it, then proceeded to parade me up and down our street for a while. Needless to say that fixed all notions of me ever wanting to do it again.

RoadToGallifrey 09-06-2013 10:40 AM

Starting early I see haha. I dunno what I'm going to dress up as yet. I fancy Magenta from RHPS but I'm going to uni so I might do a group costume if people are up for it

Oh. My. Gosh. Seriously?! Halloween is HUGE here! My parents turn their garage into a haunted house every year and we scare the brains out of little kids and even the older ones!! Then go to the clubs and what not for best costume contests!

I might have to steal the best idea ;) Halloween stores just opened so I have to get in early hahahaa!

Magenta would be super cool! It would definitely fit the ideology that Halloween is a time for ladies to dress scandalously...[rofl]

Codette 09-06-2013 05:19 PM

I had to order mine online. Every year I host a halloween party for my friends and I and this year the theme is 'Masquerade."
I chose to get the dress of a character from a Japanese visual novel called Umineko No Naku No Koro Nii or When the Seagulls Cry. It's an intense murder/mystery with magic. It's also been done as an anime and a manga, but they're crap compaired to the novel.

Anyway my character is Beatrice the Golden Witch.http://www.renders-graphiques.fr/ima...Beatrice-3.pngThis is what the dress looks like in real life

R a n d e h 09-06-2013 05:37 PM

Oh. My. Gosh. Codette that dress is GORGEOUS!!!

You are going to be stunning! Do you have any pictures of you wearing it?! I'm wickedly impressed!

Masquerades are always so much fun 8D

Codette 09-06-2013 06:41 PM

Not yet. The dress is being custom made to fit with any luck it'll be in by mid October. I can't wait till it gets here its going to be fabulous.

R a n d e h 09-06-2013 07:02 PM

You must must must remember to take pictures and post them! I would LOVE to see it!!

Dottie Mae Evans 09-07-2013 01:53 AM

I don't know yet, depends on what I come up with outfit wise. I might dress up as an anime character or I might try something new. ^_^; I'll see what I come up with. :3

MinakoAxule 09-08-2013 12:31 AM

I just go with my witch outfit. I don't trick o treat anymore well besides with my little sis so she can get her candy. So I don't go all out with costumes. Plus I have no money lol!

Though we are going to try to get my sister to win the costume competition at the fire house again this year. Last year she won and didn't even realize it until her mom and I rushed her up to get her prize lol!

If you can't dress like Magenta on Halloween, when can you dress like Magenta? [lol] Ideally I would have wanted to be Frank N Furter but as I'm actually female the transvestite aspect would be lost haha

Halloween is bigger after you're 18 and can drink in pubs, then you get all the Halloween events. Guising has pretty much died a death though which is a shame.

M i r o 09-09-2013 03:21 PM

Randy, you are just so unique. That's all I have to say about your costumes XD

But... I guess I'll re-wear my purple fairy costume. I'm not really doing Halloween. I'll have to see what my bf wants to do. He really didn't do anything last year other than just carving pumpkins with his family. Although, I've always wanted an Alice costume. I'll go search for the one I'm talking about.

---------- Post added 09-09-2013 at 11:25 AM ----------

Oh, well I guess Party City doesn't have it anymore :(

But if I had the money, these would be my top picks to wear: Adult Lady Jack Skellington Costume - Nightmare Before Christmas - Party City - Adult Evil Queen Costume Deluxe - Party City - Adult Sultry Scarecrow Costume - Party City

Nephila 09-09-2013 04:55 PM

If all things go as planed...Vegita.

I have the shoes and blue body suit done. The chest piece is still in thought stage. and of course the hair.

Codette 09-09-2013 10:58 PM

Neph that is massive amounts of awesome!!!! Vegeta was always my favorite DBZ character! ....then it was a tie between him and Trunks ;)

thelettervee 09-11-2013 08:06 PM

I will be dressing as a Catrina. in celebration of both Halloween and Day of the Dead. :] I'm really excited to put everything together. Last year I was Delirium of The Endless.

Mathonwy 09-14-2013 02:23 PM

I've been thinking about what I should do for Halloween and I've come up short. I don't usually have "clever" costumes anyway. I just prefer to wear something fun.

I had contemplated being Princess Peach this year, but I don't do something unless I do it right, and to do it right I'd have to put way too much work into it. Dressing like a Victorian-era woman a la Princess Peach is just too much of a hassle, so it's up in the air. I have a French maid outfit I haven't worn yet for Halloween, just for a general costume party, so that's probably my back up right now.

Rananteriel 09-15-2013 02:35 PM

I don't know what to do for Halloween this year.

For the past two years I dressed up as a pirate, but sadly I left my outfit in the states. This year I may or may not do a Ninja outfit, all depends on what materials I can gather together from my wardrobe of clothes as I can't afford to go and buy an outfit/make one. [gonk]

Cherry Who? 09-15-2013 10:21 PM

I really want to dress up, but I don't really have an occasion to do so. :( Not being invited to any parties! I do have classes on Halloween, though, so I might go to class in costume. But anything fancy would be overkill for just class. In that case, if I can afford to grab the necessary pieces, I'll be Fionna. Should I have a reason to get more elaborate, I'll probably be Black Widow, or maybe buy a crazy dress and be Florence Welch. >>

Wonderlands 09-18-2013 12:10 PM

Super Banana sounds fantastic! :D

Well, Halloween isn't really a thing in Australia but if I happened to get invited to a Halloween party my friend and I were going to go as Betty and Veronica from Archie Comics. We were both fans back in primary school so we decided upon it earlier this year (because we just realised that our hair and style suited them) and if it happens I'm super excited for it! I'd be Veronica and my friend would be Betty.

I never go trick or treating either...being 26 kind of makes it a little weird to go haha. But we do go to the bars or parties and what not (not a big drinker, but I love to dance and hang out with friends).

What did she dress up as last year when she won?! So cool!

This is true...though personally I think you should dress as Magenta all the time. 8D Damn being a woman ):

Hehehehe XD I just like to be funny instead of scandalous or scary.

An Alice costume would be sweet! He could dress up as the lion or something 8D!

Those three costumes are REALLY nice!! I can't decide which I like between actually...I really like the skirt/dress thing in the evil queen one!

You guys are all so creative! Do you have pictures of last years? What will you be using in this years?

I've done Princess Peach one year (all my friends and I did the whole Super Mario pack) and it wasn't that tough! I found an ol' pink dress from Value Village (thrift shop) and white gloves, the heels weren't too hard. The only "costume" I actually had to buy was the wig and tiara! Easy peasy!

If you can't afford much in terms of costumes you could always use a white sheet in Toga style and go as a roman god/goddess? Gold makeup and buy some gold leaves for a few bucks?

At the event we just had in Chicago (super hero themed), one of my coworkers went as Black Widow...and holy dang. The costume was super sexy! I vote that :P

OHHHH! I love this idea! Doesn't seem too difficult either, especially if you already have the hair for it! Brilliant!

UPDATE -

So I totally did super banana. Here it is:
http://i43.tinypic.com/2hwk1kw.jpg

It was such a hit that when I go to Tampa in November for our next work conference I'm going to use it again. In fact, I'm always using my banana costume. In Tampa our theme is Tropical, so I'm going to go as Tropical banana, with a hawaiin shirt, sunglasses and sunblock on my nose/cheeks, with sandals and a towel. It's going to be the best!!

Wonderlands 09-21-2013 12:46 PM

Oh my god, you look amazing! You definitely need to make the banana your thing.
The tropical banana idea is killing me too, I can just imagine it in my head.

Bearzy 09-21-2013 02:24 PM

I'm in New Zealand and we don't really celebrate Halloween either, but I think I was an angel for Halloween when I was about 7? It was a school "disco". I think I'm going to get dressed up this year, probably as a jester, seeing as I have these pants for it!
