Hello all.

Season's Greetings to all of you!

My favourite gift this year is the book ""The Pug's Guide to Etiquette" by Gemma Correll. I got it from by boyfriend's mum but she didn;t know it was on my Amazon wish list, which was cool. It makes me laugh a lot, seeing the pictures and saying "Monty is just like that!" ^___^ (I have a black male Pug calle Monty.)

So, what was one of your fave pressies this year, and why? :)

A check from my family for about $500. I really didn't expect that, since it's a large amount it's going to be used to fund a trip I'll be going on sometime soon.

I got the Vice 2 makeup pallet from Urban Decay. Urban Decay is my favorite makeup brand and has been since I was in high school (many moons ago now) and this is the first makeup I've had from that brand because it's so expensive, so I am extremely happy to have it, and it was my favorite gift.

I had a fair bit of money given to me by various relatives, which is nice seeing as i'm between jobs at the moment. The best non-monetary present was probably my copy of Dragon Age Origins, given by my other half. It's keeping me amused!

My girlfriend bought me a hedgehog. I had told her that I always wanted to get one but I never had the spare cash (always had something else to buy). Best gift ever!
I find that they make really great pets! They are surprisingly un-obtrusive and are very easy to clean up after. My girlfriend ended up getting one for herself after having to babysit mine once for the weekend.
My hedgehog is somewhat grumpy, he doesnt like getting held much, but my girlfriends hedgie is really nice and playful. She got hers from a breeder, though, so he was already used to getting handled. If you want a friendly hedgie, try to get one from a breeder. Nothing wrong with pet store hedgehogs, they are just not used to getting held as much.
I clean his playpen about once a week and give him a bath about once a month. I feed him (cat food) on a daily basis. They are nocturnal so dont expect much out of one during the day. :)

I received many great gifts that I'm thankful for, but I think my favorite was the gift I got from my boyfriend - Adventure Time Monopoly!

I love Monopoly and I love Adventure Time. I told him I wanted it decades ago and he remembered. I've already played it 3 times since.

Glad to see everybody got summat they really loved.

Some people say that money/vouchers are impersonal but I really like getting them as a gift. I'd rather have them to buy something useful or something that I really like rather than some random gift that I do not like/nor can use.

I know it's the "thought that counts" but you gotta put some thought into giving a gift afterall! XD

I got just want I wanted -- some really nice pots and pans! I requested new kitchen supplies as mine were pretty gross and losing the Teflon. I was so happy to get the new stuff. They come with a 25-year warranty, too! So I'll probably have this set for life! <3

I also got Despicable Me 2, which made me squee~! :3 I love me my minions.

That's cool, Xavirne. At 25 I know I am getting "old" because useful kithen stuff really impresses me! lol

I actually really want these pots and pans, for example: JML Ceracraft Ceramic Pans - YouTube

XD

Edit: Oh my gosh, the video is 15mins long?? Longest advert ever! lol

Haha, at 21 I knew I was getting older when my Christmas list was primarily kitchen stuff, and I was really happy to get that stuff under the tree, too. ^^

I asked for a Silpat mat and a blender for Christmas and I was ecstatic to get them.

omg, blenders. <3 I cry tears of joy for these babies! Did you get any blender cookbooks? I got one of those this year and I have been eyeing all the drinks. So many possibilities! Although, I'm not overly fond of the ones that look like... yeah. >.<

Baby barf? Yeahhhhhhh. Some of those smoothies look so nasty, but sometimes they taste good. XD

No, I didn't get a blender cookbook--I could totally use one, though! I've got a few recipes that were my inspiration for getting a blender but other than that I know nothing.

Cool, enjoy! I love Urban Decay and the Vice 2 palette looks like a great gift to receive. Their eyeshadows are the best.

Best Christmas present for me,
my significant other and his mom inviting me to spend Christmas eve and Christmas at their place, and let me build lego with him during the holiday. Feeling included in another family's celebration, yet getting to do my own tradition (building lego all holiday) is something that money could have not bought this year

I enjoyed everything I got. My parents got me Fire Emblem and two manga books, which are so pretty! They also got me a few plushies and other little things. My friend also got me this adorable cupcake keychain which I'm loving. :)

Tex Beetle with MX Browns from my significant other. Otherwise, not a whole lot. As I get older Christmas becomes more relaxed and less gift orientated.

I got lots of awesome Christmas presents, but my two favourites are two of the simplest.

-A really pretty sandwich stand, from my mum.
It's the same colour as my cake stand, so they "go" together without matching. In 2014 I will throw the prettiest tea parties EVAH!!

-Plant pots with chalk board paint squares on the side, from my husband.
Our windowsills are all constantly crowded with my plants, but I'm always forgetting what I planted where. Useful AND they look adorable!
