The malignancy of machinery
This is a pet theory of mine, I'll give you two examples so you know what I mean (3 if you include my thread about toasters!)
Example 1: Windows updates - it will wait until you've gone out of the room before shutting down, so that you lose everything that you were doing, and it never does this when you're just gone for a minute or two either, oh no! It waits until you get distracted by something for quarter of an hour, so it can put up that "restart in 10 minutes unless you say otherwise!" thing and you don't see it... Example 2: Traffic lights - Going somewhere and got all the time in the world? Green lights at every intersection. In a hurry? Late for something important? It's an emergency? RED. LIGHTS. ALL. THE. WAY. Machines hate us and don't try and deny it! |
yup soon they'll be able to tell us so and rule over us in a more direct way than they already do.
/tinfoil hat |
And another pet theory is that all of these machines are owned by large business conglomerations that eventually plan on taking over the world. They are simply starting by controlling traffic patterns around the world.

I already think that Google could take over easily if it was so inclined. [gonk] Someone really should make an Enemy of the State type film about that, it would be terrifying. A box office smash, and just about everyone who watched it would turn in a Luddite pretty much overnight. ><

Hahahaha! I hate windows updates so much. =w= I have windows on my mac,
and I only ever use it like… Once a month. Maybe less. But then it takes me an hour to start using it because of all the updates. Btw, not my machine's fault, but puppy keeps touching the touchpad and this is taking quite a while to type because of it. I think Pup is partnering with the machines to overthrow humanity! |
[shock]
Maybe...dogs are partnering with machines in a bid to stop cats from trying to overthrow humanity [twitch] |
Hahaha. Well I think they're losing the battle.
Cats are the kings of the interwebs. |
Whenever my PC downloads updates, it always says that "hey, if you don't update now, I'm gonna go ahead and do it in a day". Or something like that.
Maybe it's because I have Windows 8.1, because when it comes to that, it's not as... naggy as Windows 7 was. I dunno. |
Oh! Well that's a vast improvement on the automatic 10 minute window!

Well it does you choices, be fair now. Up to 4 hours before it starts hassling you again. [lol]

Some machines hate me. my old phones would rebel when I'd do things. crashing freezing. sometimes even as a brand new phone. phones hate me.
