I will always say that anything by Le Guin is worth reading, because she is my favorite. [yes]
Le Guin writes a lot of fiction I would call "ethnographic sci-fi," where she invents new societies and then explores the way they work like an anthropologist would (except that she's still, you know, inventing everything.)
