Did I grab your attention? Well good ^_^
So my topic is who here Knits, crochets, or does one of the many other projects/ hobbies that one can do when you buy yarn.
I crochet, tried knitting...failed horribly
Crocheting for Dummies- My favorite of all my crochet books, goes over the stitches, and even how to read a crochet pattern wether it is a chart, or the standard crochetese (sc 3, 2tog)
The Dummies books also has a Knitting for Dummies....I have not tried that one myself, but I am content with still learning everything on Crochet ^_^
@MyFriends;
Made a thread!

you sure caught my attention!! XD I'm not much of a knitter or a crocheter. But I do occasionally embroider, but that's not yarn related. Felting looks really fun and cute, I would just have to make time for it. :3

I don't know how to knit but I want to learn so badly.
Just not sure how I would do that while being broke and all or on a super tight budget.

That does make things difficult...maybe ask for some starter kit?
I went with Crocheting for dummies, they also have a knitting version. Someone could get you the Knitting for Dummies, a thing of yarn (like one of the giant things) and one pair of knitting needles as a gift maybe?
I know I would love yarn, or hooks that I don't have for gifts XD

that didn't go so well the first time when my aunt did that..
But then again that kit really wasn't that great since most of the pictures in the learning kit where it tells you how to do it
and it turns out like this, most of it requires a lot of different tools >.>

My crocheting for dummies worked really well
also Youtube, Youtube is an amazing gift for people who learn more visually but do not have someone near who does the craft

Ah yes very true.
Maybe amazon will have some sort of knitting kit for beginners >3>
I've got like a whole heap of yarn that needs to be used!
My sister and I rolled them up into giant yarn balls.
I have like..6 of them. XD

I would suggest Knitting for dummies, it should explain everything like my Crocheting for Dummies did!
The kits have always sucked for me, but that book was like a god send
I was never that into it really...it can definetly turn out very pretty and nice, but I just did not like it as much as I did my yarn...which is kinda funny, cause crochet can take quite awhile too

Probably when I get a job
I will get it. :3
Those dummy books are really useful.
I've never read any of them, but people that have said they
are so useful and can actually understand it better.
So I will give that a shot when I can.
I don't think I want to learn to crochet.
Mainly knitting and sewing for me.
Or more like how to use a sewing machine. I know how to sew.
But I wanna start making stuff like clothes, bags etc.

Oh man..my relatives[not including my immediate family] are so stupid during the holidays.
Like they have my Pinterest and everything which has a bunch of stuff i want on my WL and same with my amazon WL but like..they are too stupid to look at it.
Though this year, I may ask.
Or if not, I'll ask next year. xD
For my birthday though I know i want this drawing book for drawing
male characters. and it's like $18.

I recently got a Shojo manga drawing book by Irene Flores.
It's really good. It's not just about clothes either, it has anatomy, detailing with line art.
It's so useful.
My drawing isn't the best but apparently some of my friends on here are flipping out over it because they love it so much
So if they are happy, so am I.
Yeah my relatives are dumb. Lst year they got for my birthday some cheap perfume that smelt like soap. .__.
And it was like a couple days late.
My birthday is around Christmas time but like..a week or two before it. e.e
So I just asked for money last year.
So if that happens again, I will ask for money again and buy some stuff for knitting or sewing. ^^
Or clothes. >3>

as long as I was comphy Tana would not care, and does not care what she wears ^_^
I am perfectly happy in sweats and a t-shirt, and playing with my yarn all day
I have a rather large stash of yarn...which needs to be organized.

Not quite what I thought when I clicked on the topic. I honestly don't know why I clicked on it... XD
Anyways, I am learning to knit because most of my friends know how to. Yeah it's kind of a bad reason... But whatever. it got me into it

No reason is a bad reason
that will just give you something to talk to your friends about
I do it because it helps with stress
