If they can make a smell that reminds me of fall I would buy that. Mmm Rotting wet leaves and cold around the corner.
But "winter garden"? Ice covered branches don't have much of a smell

jellysundae 10-13-2014 02:10 AM

You and Biggles could sit and sniff wet leaves together!

~LONGCAT~ 10-13-2014 02:11 AM

Cardinal Biggles: Jelly called us Wet-leave sniffers!

Cardinal Biggles 10-13-2014 04:32 AM

It may be easy to write us off as degenerates, Jelly, but what about you and your suspicious silica packets? What would we really find if we broke one of those open, hm?

Dandelioness 10-13-2014 04:09 PM

I law this pie that's got chocolate, walnut, and coconut in it.
Marvellous mix I swear.
There's something so messed up about not accepting pooping as a natural physical process -_-

HIM_ROCK 10-13-2014 04:14 PM

What if it doesn't smell of anything it just give you that winter sensation of your nose hurting when you breathe

jellysundae 10-13-2014 08:26 PM

I mentioned that in my initial post, HIM xD You can get that for free just by sticking your head in the freezer. [ninja]

That sounds extremely interesting, Dandy, I think you need to provide some for everyone so we can perform a thorough product test. [drool]

I'd never buy that poo-pourri stuff, but there's no denying that the marketting angle is fun ><

Cherry Who? 10-14-2014 12:40 AM

Ugh, yeah, I don't like non-food things that smell of food. Smelling like fruit is okay, but baked goods? Nah. It just makes me really hungry for a food that is not as available to me as the scent suggests. [lol] I like sniffing the "fresh baked toffee cookie" or "warm spiced pie" candles in the store, but buying something like that would drive me crazy and/or lead to me gaining weight from eating too many desserts. [ninja]

jellysundae 10-14-2014 02:59 PM

Well, here's an impromptu review of that Vanilla latte Febreze!

It's doesn't smell like food, but it does smell bloody lovely!

How can I describe this...Warm, but not particularly sweet. Vanilla notes are there definitely, but blended nicely, they don't overpower the scent, they're not even particularly in the forefront, they're just an element of it. It's not a heavy scent at all, there's a clean/natural element in there that I can't identify, it's a spice blend I sure (it certainly doesn't smell like coffee) cutting through any potential cloy from the vanilla, but there is no cloy so \o/.

Honestly? This smells more like a classy body spray than a fabric refresher. I'm really glad that I decided to try it! Bet it's going to be one of those products that's discontinued after the winter and never seen again now that I've discovered that I really like it! [lol]

CK 10-15-2014 04:51 AM

That's always the case. :P Find a freshener of any sort that you like and almost a sure bet it'll be phased out (either for being too expensive to produce or due to lack of popularity). ;~;

Cherry Who? 10-15-2014 06:40 AM

That sounds nice! "Cloy" is definitely the appropriate term for the ways food-scented things can go wrong.

Does sound like a seasonal thing, though... But usually those get marked down when the season is ending and inventory still lingers. So just try to check regularly when spring starts to approach and snatch them all up on markdown! [:D]

This, I think, is a perfect example of not a lot of thought having gone into what to name a fragrance!

Winter Garden, huh? This meant to fill our minds with images of sparkly snow? (which, incidentally, smells of nothing). Has Febreze somehow managed to recreate that nose tingle from breathing in frosty air? (with many carcinogens and allergic reactions included free of charge). Or is this a fabric "refresher" that's going to make your sofa smell of mud and damp rotting leaves...[ninja] Can't say I'm sold on this one Febreze, sorry. [lol]

My goodness that's strange. I would not buy this. Nope.

---------- Post added 10-15-2014 at 12:18 PM ----------

If they made one that smelled like fresh cut grass I would buy that. Or the scent of a cooking turkey.

jellysundae 10-15-2014 05:43 PM

Ah now Cherry! The end of season mark-down, a very good point! Though this is Britain, so it's way more likely to be stuffed back in the warehouse and brought back out next year as "NEW!"...[stare]

HIM_ROCK 10-15-2014 06:29 PM

Seasonal NEW items. That's not new I saw that last year D<

jellysundae 10-15-2014 07:09 PM

See, HIM knows what I'm talking about. ><

Lady Rosenbaum 10-16-2014 01:20 PM

How is everybody doing today?

Cardinal Biggles 10-16-2014 11:42 PM

I've always been baffled by the appeal of the smell of fresh cut grass. It always made me feel a bit sick...

Cherry Who? 10-17-2014 02:38 AM

Yeah, cut grass makes me sneezy.

Walmart sort of does that, Jelly. Sometimes I see old things being brought back out as new. Other times I see things sit in clearance for over half a year. I've seen shorts still hanging on the clearance rack in February and I know I've definitely bought halloween things on clearance around that time of year.

The Wandering Poet 10-17-2014 07:12 AM

Cut grass smells alright... but only if it's healthy... else it just smells like dirt

Cardinal Biggles 10-17-2014 09:41 AM

it just smells a bit sickly sweet to me, makes me mildly nauseated.

jellysundae 10-17-2014 09:32 PM

It makes me want to sneeze, but that's a purely psychosomatic response, which annoys me in itself!

Kat Dakuu 10-17-2014 10:02 PM

This reminds me of the Suave scent, Everlasting Sunshine. It's wonderful and all, but what the heck does sunshine smell like? O.O

jellysundae 10-18-2014 02:02 AM

Ultra violet radiation! [lol]

Kat Dakuu 10-18-2014 02:18 AM

s-somehow I don't imagine that would smell good at all...

Cardinal Biggles 10-18-2014 02:29 AM

Ozone? Isn't ozone supposed to smell?
