I'm a cancer too! I generally think astrology is BS. When you're born can't influence your personality! And a lot of these things are just traits people want to hear ascribed to them so they feel special, and/or they're so vague as to apply to everyone.

That being said... the cancer profile fits me really, freakishly accurately. I've tried reading other profiles thinking "well this one ought to sound equally like me because this is all BS," but... no. Even when actively trying to believe they apply to me, only a small handful of traits (<~5) from each will sound right for me. While pretty much everything from Cancer is spot on.

To the other cancers: if you know your meyers briggs type, what is it? I'm INFP, which runs pretty concurrent to the Cancer profile.

I am a Libra and I do believe signs have something to do with our personality traits but i don't believe it to be so powerful that we are bound by them... some times when i read my horoscope, a few things match and a few don't so i am not someone who does not leave their house without reading it hehehe
In general I like that i am a libra because it is a sign related with venus and that is considered the planet of love hehehe

I am a Gemini, and an ESFP. I dunno my eastern zodiac though.

I used to feel like this too (and, for a large part, I still do) and then I started thinking of it this way:

Back when astrology was created, I think it was probably more accurate than not based on the region and time it was created in.

Think of it.... Food is seasonal and region specific. There used to not be real heating/cooling options (I mean, there were WAYS but largely, modern solutions work better). If someone is born in a certain time of the year, then the mother was eating specific foods during her pregnancy, exposed to certain weather conditions, and probably performing certain types of physical labor. All of this will work in the development of the fetus. Hormones. Nutrients; etc. I don't think it's entirely ridiculous to imagine that similar enough triggers would create similar personalities.

It's less accurate now, because we're out of the regions the zodiacs were created for and most (okay, not "most", but certainly most people with internet) people have access to foods at all times of the year from all over the world.

I'm a Leo by the Western Zodiac and a Monkey by the Eastern. Of the two, Monkey seems the most accurate (even, if you look at them, I think Leo and Monkey are pretty close to the same theme). I feel like Gemini suits me better in most cases.

My zodiac sign is Cancer, but as for if it fits me - I really don't know. I've never really looked into it, as it's not totally something I'm into myself.

Every time I read something like this, I immediately think "Stop sign!"
... I don't believe in this kind of stuff, and I know nothing about it.

I used to be way into astrology, but then I spent a year hanging out with some friends who were also way into astrology and they killed it for me. They claimed they didn't use it to judge other people, and then would turn around and bet total judgemental pricks all the freaking time. /rage

Also I took an intro astronomy class and learned that astrology has basically nothing to do with the actual location of the planets or constellations in relation to earth, soooooooo, the whole foundation kinda falls apart there.

I'm an Ares Western, Alder Fox Celtic, Water dog Chinese, and Magha in the Nakshatra (Vedic/Indian 27 sign Astrology)

I always thought I had a strange mix of signs because one is water based and the other is fire. But then I have two Canines. XD If you take into account where the system originate from they balance out.

You need to know a lot more than your birthday for the Nakshatra but there are some good calculators online to find your sign in it. Also it's different for men/women.

I am a Capricorn and born in the year of the snake.... I'm not sure if either is accurate... I really don't know much on the subject to say

I'm an O as well, but I know very little about the blood type personality measurements.

Potatoe is a pisces and the description fits me perfectly. However, I'm not sure if I totally believe in astrology O_O
