I did something strange today, at least i think it is because i don't recall going to such an extend for something like this...

I donated 0.42 gold to an old friend who was long banned here on Mene...

I did that to clean up my gold count

It actually made me relaxed and comfortable that i had found a way to get that done but when i realized what i did... it has confused me. why did i need to do that?
after this post i am going to have point something written there anyways...

What confuses me about this is how Mene allows donations to banned accounts. O_o

Don't banned accounts get stripped, robbed, and mugged eventually? Someone in a raffle/contest one day will be happy to win that extra .42 gold. *grins*

Now I wanna know which one it was and where you found them.

That's a smart consideration that depending on the age of the account it could be curious as to how it's still around.

ehhh. not so much anymore. That used to be the norm a long while ago. but no longer. There was a reason. but I can't remember exactly what the reason was.... I need to go get my laundry.

Its from my friends list, someone i talked to here a few years back but then for some reason the person got banned...
I doubt you would want to donate to even out your count Amane, you are the person who would post/droid more and make it even on your own

Because then I can't have .00 for my decimal. And if you think that's picky, you should've seen the Winter Nights OCD-induced riots one year when they raised the currency gain rate from .25 to .31 per post. People could have died.

hehehehe yeah i remember that. but it didn't bother me then, maybe because it was event currency and the more the better...

IIRC:

In the olden days we had lots of cheaters & off-siters who hoarded rare items. When they got banned for their naughtiness, they left behind accounts with lots of really cool stuff, and staff wanted to get that back into circulation.

Nowadays, people who get banned usually aren't greedy cheaters, so the stuff left on their account isn't particularly worth anything. Just the same stuff everyone has.

On topic: I've been guilty of donating fractional gold to my mule to even out my gold count a few times. That way I still have it, but it's not making my gold count look uncomfortable.
