Symphony of the Night 05-21-2016 01:07 AM

oh my goodness! sorry to hear about all your bruising and "abusive furniture" and now doorframes and railings too!

Inspiration 05-21-2016 01:31 AM

yeah. i'm a complete klutz . i've fallen up a staircase before.

Symphony of the Night 05-21-2016 07:42 PM

Well that takes skill to do so kudos to you ;D

Inspiration 05-23-2016 11:06 PM

thanks i think. xD though i didn't think so at the time. carrying all those textbooks and having to weave my way through my classmates to try not to drop them as they tottered everywhere.

The Wandering Poet 05-24-2016 05:04 PM

Have you considered investing in a backpack?

Inspiration 05-26-2016 01:56 AM

we weren't allowed to have backpacks in school . They were not proper school wear.

The Wandering Poet 05-26-2016 05:41 PM

How is a backpack not school wear?

salvete 05-26-2016 10:29 PM

I have that same question :o at least, I always had a backpack. Maybe it wasn't the case at her particular school or at that time?

Inspiration 05-30-2016 10:17 PM

i have no idea . float it past my teachers. High school we could have them. but middle school and lower we had to go to are lockers. middle school was the worst cause we didn't stay in one classroom and you had to carry 6 textbooks around all day cause there was no time to get to your lockers between classes. not with 4 minutes and a big ass campus.

Symphony of the Night 06-16-2016 03:55 AM

That was the same situation at the middle school I attended for a year. We had lockers in our homeroom classroom but we couldn't actually get to them between classes. We had to wait until lunchtime or the end of the day.

Inspiration 06-20-2016 10:24 PM

schools are stupid.. i hope i can homeschool >.>

Symphony of the Night 06-20-2016 11:08 PM

Is there some sort of approval process to homeschool? I don't personally know anyone who was homeschooled so I am really curious Inspiration:

Inspiration 06-20-2016 11:16 PM

well you have to write out your lesson plan for the year and submit it to the school by July 1st. (each state/district/counties have their own rules) I've only looked at some of the rules, because currently I'm not going to be able to homeschool cause my girls have special needs. . .

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 05:27 AM

Seriously? My parents didn't have to submit anything o.o I simply started school in 3rd grade.

*Waves and Symph* Homeschooled for my younger years. Hi.

Symphony of the Night 06-21-2016 01:47 PM

The Wandering Poet, was there a particular reason your parents wanted to homeschool for a few years before enrolling you in a school?

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 04:34 PM

Honestly I have no idea.

Symphony of the Night 06-21-2016 04:36 PM

do you think it affected things much, to be homeschooled

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 04:43 PM

Well... considering things, probably screwed me up pretty badly to be honest. I had almost no friends most of my life, and I think that contributed to a lot of it. If one is to homeschool you need to actively make sure your kid can socialize with other kids their age.

Symphony of the Night 06-21-2016 05:06 PM

Aw. Well did they at least make sure you socialized well with your parents or family members?

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 05:07 PM

Not really no. I had usually maybe 1 friend if I was lucky at any given time. That trend seems to have continued my whole life.

Symphony of the Night 06-21-2016 05:15 PM

Well here on Menewsha you seem fine in terms of socializing...

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 05:58 PM

The internet is a magical thing [lol]

Symphony of the Night 06-21-2016 07:54 PM

so I feel like it means you're mentally capable of socializing if you do well in conversations on Menewsha?

The Wandering Poet 06-21-2016 08:46 PM

Typing is far easier to do because you can erase if it sounds stupid
