What are you doing today to increase health awareness, look after the health of others, and/or promote a healthy lifestyle in your own routine?

I'm honestly not doing anything to promote good health. I have a mother I have constantly told to change her diet because of the medication she is taking. So that's good I guess, I look after her diet. She doesn't really need to though. We eat a pretty healthy meal anyways. My boyfriend is a health nut so he tells me to at least eat some healthy stuff but he also tells me I need to at least be consistent in my meals. I hardly eat, I also eat very small portion which isn't good.

What about you salvete? What are YOU doing to promote health for yourself!? D:<

I try to promote health by encouraging my parents (mostly my dad because my mom listens to me anyway) to eat organically and to minimize the amount of animal products and processed food they eat.
I try not to tell people that what they eat is "bad", I prefer to say it's "unhealthy". I also encourage people to do research on the foods they eat. I mean, even I will eat an egg or get a piece of cheese every now and then. But, instead of getting say... Kraft, (which is processed crap) I will get my cheese from local farms. Or instead of eating an egg from the grocer, I'll buy it from my local feed store which sells eggs from nearby family farms. So the eggs are cage free, free range and there's no animal abuse or horrible chemicals that the chickens are being fed. C:

My mom on the other hand promotes exercise. She always goes to the gym and works out for at least an hour every day. She helps me to get my ass in gear and exercise more. I am more of a healthy eater, but it takes both a healthy diet and exercise to be healthy.

For me, meditation and taking my daily meds is also beneficial for my health. Well, my mental health anyway. But I feel that mental health is just as important as physical health. People need to get sunlight and people need to do what they can to maintain mental health too.

LOL lightkanna: for some reason I thought that last line you wrote was really funny :)

I'm constantly thinking of how to be healthier. I guess more recently stuff includes - I've been eating smaller meals recently, comparable to the size I used to eat a year ago before I gained a few pounds. I still drink a lot of water. I try to get outside more instead of being cooped up all day in a sedentary position studying. I've been cleaning a lot, so less dust in the house, yay! And I am also trying to help my parents out even more than before. I am glad to have moved back with them, at least temporarily (I was living in the dorms before), so I am able to do that better.
