What would you do if you left Menewsha?
Hi everyone, I'm curious what would you do if you left Menewsha?
Would you want to keep in touch with the users here? For example, on a different avatar site, on other social media, or maybe through email, skype, or phone? Or would you eventually forget about all the users you interacted with on here? Would you first give away all of your items and gold? Or would you keep it all on your account forever? And would you do this just in case you changed your mind months or even years from now, that you would come back, or for some other reason? Would you tell anyone here that you are leaving? For example, would you create a farewell thread, just message a few people to let them know, or just disappear out of the blue? And would you do anything like delete information from your profile or posts so that they sort of disappear from the internet? |
I think the lot of social media has taken away from menewsha to be honest As for me I give away a lot now so if I did leave I probably would give everything away but I would come back now and again just to say hiya to people |
I could sum up my point of view in just three words:

As someone who's very infrequent in their visits to Menewsha, I'd say that I'd probably leave my account as is in case I do come back. If it were, however, a situation where I, somehow, knew that I'd never be coming back I'd probably give my friends on here some contact information outside of Menewsha, like my Skype account or something along those lines, but I'd also keep all of my items because I'm paranoid and like hoarding things. [lol]
There was actually a time a few years ago where I did think I was going to leave Menewsha permanently, and at that time I did end up making a farewell post where I tagged the people I spent the most time with and were closest to and said goodbye to all of them and kind of had that little bit of closure. I ended up coming back a few months later, though, so I guess it wasn't really permanent after all. [lol] I don't think I'd ever forget about the people on here, because Menewsha in many ways has been a major part of my formative experience. I have, in one way or another, been a member of this site for 10 years, and I've pretty much grown up on here. I think, if anything, I would think of my friends on here in much the same way as one thinks of old friends from primary school: with fondness, and nostalgia. |
I am not EVER leaving Menewsha.
I don't use most social media, so I would be really, really sad if it came to the point where I had to leave. I don't have any other sites I hang out on except for a mental health site, that can be toxic sometimes so I find that I need to come here to cleanse my pallet. I will be here until either the site flourishes once more or closes. |
I'd definitely want to keep in touch with almost everyone here, but of course just coming here is easier...
(My skype is actually available under my avi but nobody has to my knowledge tried to contact me) Given my experiences I'd just flat out vanish. Done it a few times [lol] I always come back though so I'd keep my stuff around. |
Leave Menewsha? No way, Jose. I have separation issues.
That and I can't stand Slinked In, Sky hype, or MyFaceYouTwit. If I ever leave Menewsha it'll be because I died or Menewsha died. |
well technically you cant leave here or delete anything what should anyone do just live life hopefully :/ if the person is a close friend they should keep in touch ect..

None of my friends were really still active so no one cared. If I were to leave again, I'd probably do the same. There are some people that I'd want to keep in touch with this around. |
i already don't come here much or talk to anyone here; i doubt anything would change except i'd have one less place to lurk around when the other sites i frequent weren't active. :^P

I've pulled financial support of mene till I see some real changes made. That's my form of leaving" most places. It also depends on the terms I left n, if it's good terms where I feel I just don't have interest anymore but do know others enjoy it and do like how it's being managed I'll give old items away.
When I don't like the community anymore, I let my account become inactive and let all those old items die with it. I did that with gaia. Sometimes when I've decided I'm done with a communtiy I might stalk it for a bit to see if there are any decent human beings left that I'd want to leave stuff to but those people are really hard to find. |
I don't think I could or would leave menewsha. I like it too much here.
