Well now Mags, your sister having her life all planned out like that makes her sound like a massive control freak more than anything else. Deciding how your life's going to be in that way sounds way too rigid to me : / That kind of mindset leads to missing opportunities in the now because you're too focused on the future.

I kind of like the idea of how Sam does things. I'm not sure I could do it, because I've found I like having my own door to hide behind a bit too much, but his way has appeal, I can't deny that. Maybe if my own door was on a vintage Airstream with a little truck to tow it...

Of course minor things like the need of the ability to drive would arise here, but pfft! [ninja]

steelmagghia 04-04-2014 03:25 AM

Oh she is kind of a control freak, but I was also thinking more like she's already married, she has her own house, she and her husband have a stable, very nice life, they're trying to have kids....and I'm just here like "heeeey, this looks like fun to do".

Cherry Who? 04-04-2014 03:59 AM

I'm definitely young enough for it to be excusable that I have no idea what I'm doing, but I always freak out when someone my age has their life together. My little cousin, who I thought of as a little brother when we were kids, got married last year. M-a-r-r-i-e-d. A girl I know from the drama group I used to be in got married a few years ago and just had a kid - she's exactly one year older than me (to the day). And I'm over here making mac n' cheese, stupid tumblr posts, and staying up until 6 am with my boyfriend. I don't feel bad about that, I mean, I'm young enough, but these people need to stop having their lives together, dammit! Stop it right now! Lose control! FEEL HOPELESS AND CONFUSED! FORGET TO DO PAPERWORK!

[ninja] That was mean, but I couldn't resist. [lol]

I wouldn't be so sure about that, Sam [:O]

Oh, sure... just because my AVATAR is female... [roll]

Suona 04-04-2014 04:59 AM

One can never be sure of genders online

I just have a female avatar because the items are more interesting.

Suona 04-04-2014 05:13 AM

I know there are a few male user's that do that, and there are also quite a few female users that are mistaken as male because they like male avis. Like Kent and Hadsvich

Sam_Grey 04-04-2014 05:24 AM

@jellysundae What do you mean by my style of doing things?

Suona 04-04-2014 05:25 AM

I believe she means how you spoke of moving around often

Sam_Grey 04-04-2014 05:32 AM

That would make sense, but as choicefull as it sounds, I've moved around because i haven't ever been with any kind of family. I've ran solo since i was 7-8. So all i've had is to depend on people i don't know, or the few friends ive made, and i still do. It's just the lifestyle i was kind of thrown out into. Though it does have its upsides.

steelmagghia 04-04-2014 04:21 PM

Awww. I feel bad that you haven't had a family. *hugs*

jellysundae 04-04-2014 05:37 PM

Yeah, having no choice in the matter puts a different cast on things, gotta say. Your background must give you a pretty different perspective on a whole lot of things, compared to just about everyone else, how do you manage with that?

Mark, I don't like to judge, you might be a girl with testosterone issues. [ninja]

Hahaha, poor Mark.

jellysundae 04-04-2014 05:58 PM

Being a male on Mene he's a minority. It's the law that those get picked on, right?? [:O] [ninja]

Sam_Grey 04-04-2014 06:01 PM

It does give a different perspective. But not being able to live materialistically i suppose, gave me more of a meaning for finding perspectives in different morals, i had to learn through not having parents or anything blood related with me, that you just have to make the most of the little things you have. I'm sure i could act bitter about not having anything, but i lived that way for so long, and when i found my parents seperated with different kids and families, i just gave up on them. I figure i can eventually make my own family, and not give my child/children a life of solitude. Both good and bad have come from my life style, but i just have to keep going until i find a place to be :)

I'm glad to here that you managed to get through it all with a good head on your shoulders and a good perspective. It still makes me sad that you didn't have a family. I think everyone should have a good family.

Sam_Grey 04-04-2014 06:12 PM

Thank you for being sympathetic :) Someday i'll have one though :)

steelmagghia 04-04-2014 06:14 PM

I hope so. You totally deserve that.

jellysundae 04-04-2014 06:21 PM

You do seem pretty well-adjusted, Sam. You're definitely going to be a different person to who you'd have been if you'd grown up in a family unit, but there's no saying that alternate you would have been better, you might have grown into a total jerk in that situation, who knows? [:O] You certainly don't seem to be one of those at present, or if you are, you're hiding it well ;D

You seem to have made the best of the hand life dealt you, so good for you. \o/

steelmagghia 04-04-2014 06:28 PM

So, who wants to make me dinner. Because I totally don't want to have to suddenly learn how to touch raw meat. Blech.

Suona 04-04-2014 06:51 PM

Just because others have a family doesn't mean that's a good thing. There are some really bad families who, honestly, make someone's life a lot worse. I know people that would be better off on their own than with family. However, to not really have the option to make that choice on your own since you have no family is rather difficult.

steelmagghia 04-04-2014 06:53 PM

You have a point, Suo. I just have a really great family, and it makes me sad that others don't have what I have.
