Yes to both. She's cuddly and trying to clean my hair and then flips and she's attacking my hair or arms like they're monsters.

They say cats are like their owners... I rest my case with the evidence below! [lol]

Oh please Cole, Wednesday Addams is the queen of CBF xD Don't be dissing our muse!

I had a clean room find too! I moved my bed and found a Lush lipbalm under there, I've no idea how long that had been there, years possibly >< It's forever ago that I remembered using it last, the use by date on the back of the tin has worn off I've had it so long xD I'm still using it though, I'm such a rebel [insane] xD I only ditch Lush products that are past their date if they smell horrible, if the fragrance is still fine that tells me the product's integrity is too.

Vanora 09-30-2014 05:30 PM

Oh that's awesome. o: I love finding lost things. Well, things I thought that were lost, but were just "misplaced." ahaha!
I don't think I've ever used Lush products before~

jellysundae 09-30-2014 05:49 PM

I love Lush products, but I'm doubtful if I'll ever be able to afford them every again >< So I'm glad I found that lipbalm! It smells amazing [drool]

Vanora 09-30-2014 06:14 PM

Are they an expensive brand? I don't know much about Lush, haha.

jellysundae 09-30-2014 07:14 PM

Yep, it's pricey all right >< but for a good reason, it's all handmade using natural organic ingredients, vegan wherever possible, with minimal packaging.

I'll tell you the ingredients list of this lipbalm:

Fair Trade Shea Butter
Almond Oil
Beeswax
Honey
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
White Chocolate
Glycerine
Flavour
Organic Cold Pressed Wheatgerm Oil
Oatmeal
Peppermint Oil
Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute
Sweet Wild Orange Oil
Limonene

They put it in English and in Latin in brackets, unlike other companies, and no chemicals if they can possibly avoid it. I'd buy up the entire shop if I could afford it. ><

Vanora 09-30-2014 07:20 PM

Oh wow, that's pretty neat!
I wonder if my friend knows about this, she's big on natural organic things.

jellysundae 09-30-2014 07:35 PM

They do still use parabens in some of their stuff though, which is a bit disappointing :(

steelmagghia 09-30-2014 10:26 PM

They put...white chocolate in lip balm?!
That is crazy!

jellysundae 09-30-2014 10:37 PM

They put food in a lot of stuff >< But there's no denying that the Honey Trap ingredients list could make some pretty fine cookies, or amazing oatmeal, maybe xD

steelmagghia 09-30-2014 10:53 PM

Hahaha. It would be terrible for me! I would never be able to resist licking it.

Vanora 10-01-2014 12:25 AM

Parabens..?

I want cookies now, haha.

steelmagghia 10-01-2014 12:33 AM

They're cosmetic preservatives. I'd give you the chemical name, but I'd have to look up how to spell it right and then I'd have to quote it, and if I'm gonna type a name that long, I want gold for it, haha.

On the subject of "Chronic Bitch Face":
I've actually read a bit on this subject. Something interesting to note is that you basically never hear that term used for men, and if a man posts a selfie in which he isn't smiling, no one questions it. So really, "chronic bitch face" is pretty much just "normal human resting face," but women are expected to smile and look pretty constantly while that expectation isn't applied to men. HUH.

I do the mousse thing with my hair too, your method's not going to be like mine though or your hair would be wet all damn day >< I apply a little bit to washed hair, comb it through and arrange the hair so the part and hieght at the front is how I want it to end up, then scrunch the hair up to encourage curl/waves (my hair's closing in on collar length at the moment) then I leave it to dry, which takes an hour or two. Once it's dry I shake it out and scrunch it up to soften any crispy bits, possibly very gently work my fingers through it 2 or 3 times. If I need it to be dry quicker I use my diffuser on it, just applying the heat without disturbing the hair other than lifting the ends in the bowl of the diffuser to make those curl better. If I do the drying upsidedown thing what I end up with is a square head, basically >< Because the ends still have perm in them so curl really well and go all poofy, and the top is flat, so nope, not doing that xD

How do you dry yours? It certain looks great in that pic. Mousse really is good for adding control and definition, and taming frizz and fly-aways. For me it gives hairspray something to work with too, so just a little spritz of that keeps things in place, less than what I'd need if I'd done my hair with serum instead.

Omg, so much work. @[email protected] All I've been doing is waiting until my hair is wet but no longer drippy (usually by the time I've finished dressing, washing my face, brushing my teeth, applying make up, etc. following my morning shower), then get some mousse, run it through my hair, scrunch my hair up to encourage curling, then wash the mousse off my hands and walk out the door. I air dry my hair (bc ain't nobody got time for a hairdryer with hair as thick as mine ><), and the mousse just dries with it. As it dries, I'll run my hands over it once in a while to check that no area is drying crunchy and break that up if I need to.

Honestly, the whole reason I'm only just now trying mousse is because I've been very anti-product for a very long time. I don't want to spend lots of time doing my hair (as it is, I'm in the bathroom for a good 40-50 minutes every morning getting ready if you include my shower), and I'm extremely averse to having crunchy hair. My mom keeps her hair in much more tight, defined curls so her hair is practically plastic and I absolutely would hate having that. I want my hair to be soft, to move... to look like hair. So I thought I had to just live with the fluffy frizz to achieve that. But I seem to have found a happy medium with this particular mousse (it was the only one I could find that wasn't like "SUPER EXTRA CONCRETE PERMANENT HOLD X10"), as it adds some nice definition to my curls and keeps things better in place. I still have frizz, but my hair overall looks nicer. It now looks like nice hair with a bit of frizz instead of just lots of frizz.

It mostly looks frizzy. Curls don't hold good in my hair either. I can curl it and then later it goes flat. I had thought about getting another perm, but I really don't want to. :/

Yep, try some mousse. It keeps things together a bit better so your hairs don't go flying out into doing their own thing. Spread it through your hair, then hold your hand below your hair, palm up, and raise it up to your head, catching your hair, and squeeze it scrunch it. Like this:

That'll encourage some better curling.

Cherry: It's definitely one of the manifestations of sexism. But sometimes it's a useful manifestation. I'm a naturally smiley person, so I rarely get the "you'd look prettier if you smiled!" bs, but I also don't get taken as seriously.

And isn't that just a lovely no-win situation? If you smile, you're stupid. If you don't smile, you're a "bitch."

Personally, I've just eliminated the word "bitch" from my vocabulary all together (except in instances like this where I'm referring to the word itself or am quoting someone). It's completely gender-specific and used generally to refer to women who are acting in ways that would be completely fine if a man did it. Alternatively (and rarely) it's used towards men to compare them to women as if that were degrading. Fuck that noise.

jellysundae 10-01-2014 03:02 PM

Yeah, the thing of telling a guy they're acting like a little bitch, when they're whining etc. : / I prefer being a bit more imaginative with insults. Non gender-specific and regional is good, throw some archaic in there and it's even better. When you can call someone something that they've never been called before it tends to have more impact, I think. Plus, educational! You can defuse the situation by explaining to the person what a daft wazzock is xD

My mousse process is no different to yours really, Cherry :O My hair just has to be dry before I go out anywhere because it needs that de-crunching and minor tweaking with a mirror to hand. The joys of fine hair that needs to be taught to behave ><

Wazzock... *giggles* It sounds funny in my head since I"m probably mispronouncing it. ><

jellysundae 10-01-2014 04:34 PM

You're probably saying it right, it's a good insult word though because you can put a lot of feeling into it xD

Vanora 10-01-2014 07:52 PM

I like it~ I try to remember it for future use~~ Haha.

Also, for anyone who cares,
First selca of October~ Haha. I think everyone should post one or something~~

You have a lot of pretty clothes, I'd like to steal your wardrobe. [ninja]

Also, your top looks like my avatar's. Top twins!

Vanora 10-01-2014 07:57 PM

Thank you [oops]
Most of my clothes are from thrift shops or really awesome clearance sales.. cos I'm poor like that, haha.

Oh yeah! Twinsies~

jellysundae 10-01-2014 08:06 PM

Nothing beats getting a pretty item from a thrift shop! It's like my love of Ebay, I adore being able to get an item that I know cost £45, for £2.50 + postage ><

Vanora 10-01-2014 08:10 PM

I'm a newbie when it comes to shopping online, especially Ebay. So I don't buy online often, but when I do, I mange to get good deals on cute stuff. [yes] It's a good feeling to save money, haha.
