As for Gaia, I deleted that stuff a while ago from my PB account. I havent been on that site in years, and I feel much better for it too!

I know how that is, Gaia was fun as far as having millions of gold and lots of friends and minions, but damn, do they have some shoddy moderation.

This place is paradise in comparison. Well, even not in comparison. Mene>Gaia in so many ways.

VeraDark: Gaia got a million posts a day at one point. I wouldn't even EXPECT efficient moderation in that situation lol.
Mene and Gaia can't even be equated, 'cause Mene is on a whole different level.

Oh, I had a shop in their marketplace. I'd buy things for 10 or 12k, sit on them for a year, and then sell them when nobody had any anymore and the prices had gone through the roof.

I was pretty shrewd, and made a lot of gold there. Sure, I donated sometimes, but most of my gold came from wheeling and dealing.

I really liked Gaia the best when I was running contests or helping people get everyone to post in their threads by offering random prizes. It always feels good to drop a few thousand gold on someone who's broke, and not wind up broke by doing it. And I made real friends there, to the extent of people pulling together and practically saving my life when I was wanting to die once, but I still like it better here now.

Nobody here has ever spammed my profile with photographs of dead babies and child rape to the point where it wouldn't even load fully so I could delete them, for example. To the best of my knowledge, nobody ever even tried to fix that, because they were too busy engaging in personality conflicts with other users and being all "IM A MOD, I CAN TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP" to anyone their friends didn't like, and stuff like that. Even up to the day I quit, people would message me and ask me how I could allow my profile to be so bad, and all I could say was, "I've reported it months ago, and weekly since. Ask the staff why it's like that."

I can't really blame them for not being able to keep up with all of the abuse that goes on there, but it did put me off of joining sites with monstrously high populations, for sure. If you can't manage the userbase (or staff) properly, it's time to find something else to do, I think. They just got too big too fast, and it wasn't a good thing for me, is all.

I've certainly gotten a thicker skin on me since then, but yeah. I just like this place better.

Gaia has his weird inflation thing going on too... I can make like 2,000 gold in like 5 minutes, but that is no where close to being able to by anything.....

They should just change currencies, like countries do.

If they had a coin worth 1000 of the old coins, and used it to replace the old coins, it wouldn't all look so bad to people.

But then all the rich people would complain about not having as many coins, and the new people would all complain about it being so hard to get a coin. Oh, well.

Personally, I think they should just burn it down and start over, or maybe just burn it down and leave it at that.

We got this cute little puppy a few months ago. My boyfriend named him Tyson because he is obviously a wee heavyweight champ. He's a massive pain in the butt, but we still loves him :3
