"Mess of frizz" um...my hair is normally 2-3 times as frizzy and is only just barely to my shoulders.
Your frizz is barely noticeable.
XD
I am in awe.

Gizzie had a kid yes? Cause hair can sometimes change with pregnancies. My mother in law had curly hair. After her third pregnancy it went completely straight

Agreed. Can both genders just evolve to not need them?

lol You guys crack me up!

I cut off 14 inches before to donate and after cutting it my hair curled too. Use to be completely straight. Now even at this length it still curls. I worry that when I eventually chop it again that it's going to curl even more with all the weight gone. :/

Vampire! lol Yeah, the silhouette is a bit weird. I have considered being cousin it for halloween with sunglasses on the back of my head and a hat, but I can't have my hair down that much because it catches on everything. xP I did braid it into a noose around my neck for halloween once, and did make-up like a corpse. I feel like I shared a picture of that on here before, but don't recall.

I definitely have seen pictures like that but I'm not sure if it was yours.

Gizzy - Well with turtles kids are important... those things usually get passed down as heirlooms don't they?

Perhaps it's the fancy stuff that's the problem. Try Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. Leave it in for 10-15 minutes. It's really good for dry scalp or scalp based skin conditions so it should help your hair as well.

I tried Fructis before and I don't like it. I have very dry hair and absolutely no natural oils. I could straight up not shower for a week and maybe get a tiny bit of oil on the top of my head, and only if I sweat at some point. I have tried numerous different brands to see what does well with my hair, and the only one I will use now is Tresemme luxurious moisture. It may be worth a try for you if you haven't used it before.

Was probably me. I feel like I shared it. But too lazy to go back and check. I haven't done anything for Halloween in a few years.

You may be thinking of tortoises. They are the long lived ones. Although, sea turtles live a long time as well.

To a degree, but I guess I was mostly comparing them. Compared to tortoises they don't, but they are long compared to most pets.

Found this quote that helps put it into words
Quote:
Tortoises live 80-150 years. The longest living Tortoise is 326 years. Turtles live 20-40 years. The oldest was 86 years.
It also depends on the species. Some species of tortoise are very long lived, and others less so. And same with turtles. Some may be more likely to max at 20, and others higher up. Sea turtles in particular can actually live over 100. But I think most turtles die earlier in captivity due to improper care. If you take very accurate care of one then they may have a full life span. They can have some very specific care needs, and often as pets they don't get that.

That's very true. I guess I never really looked into it, as I've never had turtles or tortoises.

But if well taken care of, at 40 years that's still potentially going to need cared for by one's kid.

REALLY? i thought you posted a picture of your daughters hair pulled up in a cupcake. am i going crazy? and i am so sorry to hear that :/ i've actually been really worried lately that i'm going to run out of eggs soon and not be able to have more kids . So even though i'm not financially stable yet. I'm starting to get desperate to have another kid soon.

That was my nieces cupcake hair I posted and my turtles are red eared slider water turtles so they will likely live a while because they are only about 3 - 4 years old so I don't know yet who will inherit them..... My hair is partially due to my thyroid problems but also more than likely stress too that I have been stressed out for years and I can't seem to quit stressing and then my skewed up hormones it's sad I am going bald :( I used to hate my thick curly hair that knotted up and was impossible to brush and now I miss it
