  • sure i was terrified about first contacts in my eyes and having hard time to put them in and almost blind myself 8D;;

but other than that, i can leave it in my eyes for 2-3 days max then take them out to let my real eyes rest for awhile (1-2 days, depends~).. so yeah no problems with them on my eyes (from surgery stories that other users mentioned above)

also dislike colored contacts.. too weird to see my eyes look different.. so i stick with my natural eye colors, brown <3

Colored contacts are prettty awesome. :)

I wish I could get some.
I would love to have an exciting color of eye, like maybe green or lilac, rather than plain light blue.

Unfortunately, they don't make them for toric lenses. Sigh. so if I did wear them, my eyesight would still be pretty awful. I won't spend 40 dollars a box for something that doesn't fix my eyesight, myo, its just too much money to drop like that. xP

I wonder if you still see normal with colored contacts...
I want white-ish contacts, those are cool! XD
Not that I'll have the guts to put them in... .__.

Congrats, those would be quite the accessory. I dont' need contacts, so I've never thought about getting them. Although I had thought of getting the different ones, where the pupils are stars, or different colors, but I'd rather not mess around with my eyes since their fine as it is.

  • I have contacts because I'm blind without them, at first they bothered me but now they're all right.
I don't like colored ones, I think you should be proud of the eyes you have instead of trying to cover it up with another color.

I need contacts...;-; Because I have bad vision.. xDD But it'd be pretty nice to have different eye colors. n-n

At first, they're kind of annoying to put in every morning, and sometimes they don't stick to your eye...xD But you'll get used to it. ^^

Oh, can't rub your eyes with them in, the contact tends to drift away from your pupil and iris and it explores your eye so that you have to wait a long time before it floats back to a point where you can take it out. I hate when that happens.

I would love to have gray, or gold/topaz colored eyes. I think those are really pretty colors, but I'm super scared of touching my eyes.. like.. ever DX However, I can do makeup for Halloween with no problem. Go figure DX

My parents would never get me them though, but I like my eyes, and I'm fine without them. I do want a new pair of glasses though. My current ones are dying from overuse xD

  • Oh, I once had those! I had demonic red eyes back then, it was so awesome! Pitiful enough, I already wear contacts myself.. so I could never have red eyes AND good vision. ; o;

You're lucky. n w n Though, they're a lot more expensive at yours. Mine only were $1,50 or so.. mm.. Maybe that's why they ripped after a few days..

Contacts are hard to get in at first, but with practice you'll get them in within seconds. Just be sure they don't have any little hairs or stuff stuck to them, and make sure they're washed, or else it'll feel funny. You might have to blink a lot at first to make sure they don't dry out, but like I said, you get used to them.

I wish I could wear colored contacts.. sadly, my eyes are dark brown, so you can't really see any color through them. D:
I really wish I could have like gold eyes, or sea green.

Whenever I wear just plain old colored contacts [when I tried out some green ones] they just decided to float on their own.. I had to blink my eyes constantly which was really annoying. Sooooooooooo.. I just kinda was like "screw cololred contacts XD" .

I have horrible vision. I'm thinking about getting contacts (recently broke my glasses in a mosh pit for the second time XD), but the idea of touching my eye makes me queasy... I've heard many horror stories about contacts and they've put me off contacts for years... also they're rather expensive if you wear them regularly, I'm not exactly rolling in money. Although, getting my glasses replaced every year isn't cheap either... frames are surprisingly expensive!

I remember being really scared when i got my first pair of contacts. I've been wearing glasses since 2nd grade. They contacts were fine for a year or two, but now, they bother my eyes so much. I think it might be because of the medicine I'm taking. One of the unwanted side effects is an "intolerance to contact lenses" I don't think that's fair! How in the world does any medicine affect that?

I wore my contacts yesterday. While they didn't bother my eyes as much as they have in the past, they weren't comfortable, and I can feel them. I will be switching to a "1-day" contacts soon. Where you wear them for one day, then you throw them out. no solution, no contact case, no nothing. It sounds pretty awesome, and they aren't that much more expensive than the contacts I wear now.

Hopefully those don't dry my eyes out, or make my eyes hurt, because I really like not having to wear glasses. Especially since the glasses I have fall of my face since they're too big. Oh, and I think the 1-day contacts will be better because I will be on the road traveling for a few months, where it will be a hassle to try and clean contacts, etc. etc.

I wear normal contacts, but I don't think I'd ever go for colored ones. Because then I'd have to wear my glasses, ne?

But contacts are very easy to get used to, as long as you aren't afraid of sticking things in your eyes.
My parents are repulsed if they just see me putting in a contact. xD

I've always wanted to wear coloured contacts but my sight is pretty good so I don't need them. It'd be super cool though to have coloured contacts. I'm pretty bored with my natural brown colour

$40 bucks is a lot for something that you don't really need. I pay from $200 to $700 for glasses (just the lens) but that is every two or three years so its not too bad. Of course I actually need mine or else I would be blind. I couldn't stand to ever put contacts in my eyes, plus my eyes are pretty sensitive. I've had allergies to eye drops before too, ug. You must get everything from your mom if shes buying you these for no reason then to look "cool" in front of your friends.

I wanted contacts when I was a kid, but now that I've gotten so used to glasses, I think that the frames really flatter me, so I've decided to go without them.

I think what really put me off them was my brother's contacts, though. It took him, like 20 minutes to get them in correctly every morning and it seemed really painful when he put them in really wrong.

I have very sensitive eyes and horrible vision. I also had a problem with touching my eyes when I got them, so make sure you overcome that if you have a problem with it as well. Quickly.

But I'd have to wake up about 45 minutes earlier every morning to start just to put them in for school. You really have to keep them clean, a lot, and they last only a few weeks, depending on the brand. Don't keep a pair longer than two weeks, otherwise they carry germs and can spread infection into your eye -- take it from someone who's been there.

But have fun with them! Costume contacts, I WISH I could get them. Parents won't let me, I think they're far too expensive, and my eyes are nice enough as they are, I guess. Take pretty pictures with them in, kay? ;D

Awsome.
Contacts like yuna = instant awsome.
contacts in general = aawaasome.

Well, Id image that theyd feel like soft plastic, you get used to it, but sometimes it gets yours eye hurting and you have to wait a lil till it stops hurting. Happens all the time to my friend, she wears contacts.

Must be nice to be able to have mom buy something like that for "only $40". If I still relied on my parents for money, my mom would never have spent that much on something I could do without. My vision used to be really bad before I got glasses and my mom wouldn't even pay for glasses I needed. By that time I was 18 though so I was starting to become more independant as far as money goes anyway. I would like to get contacts for vision though because I look horrible in glasses. I always wanted purple ones, like the ones my mom had because I always thought they were a pretty shade. They probably wouldn't look right with my eyes because my eyes are such a dark brown.

  • I've tried 6 or 7 different colored contacts and they don't work for me. My eyes are so light that the colors do not appear to, well, be there. Even the darkest deepest brown I could find turned into muddled, sludge colored grey/green. The darker your natural eye color, the more the colored contacts stand out. There are several variations, some merely to enchance your natural eye color, others to cover it up. Those are the most effective ones, although they end up looking quite unnatural most of the time.

The only lenses that have worked for me are those thicker 'fun' lenses (white, cat eye, etc). Those never feel natural and are a lot more likely to cause damage to your eyes, though, so be careful if you should ever choose to wear those.

I wish I could get the colored contacts just for fun. ...but of course, I have to go be the only child out of three children to inherit the horrible vision gene. -.- So I've wound up with contacts and glasses as a necessity.

...and since my vision is so bad, my doctor told me I should get hard lensed contacts, since those retard the deterioration of your vision. It's something about your eyeball molding to the shape of the lense--the proper shape--and keeping it in that proper position.

Someone recently told me that soft lenses do the same thing if you leave them in for ten hours or something, but I'm not sure if I believe them. Anywho, I didn't know that when I was getting my contacts. Otherwise, I would have begged my parents into letting me get colored soft lenses, since hard lenses can't be colored. TT.TT

But I plan on just keeping my vision from getting worse, and then getting that eye surgery thing when it improves, gets cheaper, when I get enough money, etc. Then I shall go and get my coloured contact lenses and have the RED eyes that I have always coveted as a small child. ^^v
