A heather is a small bush like shrub, with small purple bell shaped flowers. And apparently, it's a British name.

My mom, grew up in a small town, where everyone knows your business.
Her family was excessively poor, and her dad was a raging alcoholic, which meant she was really unpopular. But while all the other kids were treating her like shit, there was this one girl who was never anything but nice to her, and I guess it meant a lot to her. So she named me after that chick. ^-^

I use to dislike my name, because it seemed that every other girl was named Heather too, but over the past few years, it's grown on me.

My first name is Patricia, and it means 'noble'. My middle name means 'the king's warrior', so I am "the king's noble warrior". x3

I don't know where my parents thought of it. My mom says it just came to her, but she has told me that my dad had a girlfriend named Patricia before he got with my mom, so I think that is what inspired them, lol.

bit of history, in my familys history our name was McLaughlan (the scottish spelling with an A) but due to a family fall out a few generations back the family was split into 2, and some changed their name to McLaughlin (the irish spelling with an I)

My mother said she named me Brittney because back when I was born it was a rare and exotic name. Now everyone is named Brittney, with different spelling variations.
My name was supposed to be Zoe Santana, or Tyler.
I would have loved wither one, since you rarely find any Zoe's or Tyler's anymore.
