I used to keep Poison Dart Frogs for about 2 years before I sold them all and/or they died. They're beautiful creatures, but a little hard to keep up if you don't have the income or space for them. Here are some pictures of the ones that I had :)

No, no one has licked them XD And the ones my exroommate and I raised were not wild caught, so their toxin wasn't strong enough to kill since they get their poison from their diet. You still wouldn't want to lick them, or touch them and then touch a membrane such as the inside of your nose though...You'd lose that sense real quick. My exroommate did that once and she can't smell out of one side of her nose XD

  It's red, because their teeth is under their gums. So often their teeth slice through the gums when they feed. This creates bacteria, which only makes their saliva possibly diseased to us.

I personally haven't. I tried not to touch them with my hands. I usually used plastic containers just for them to catch and move them from tanks and things. I miss them, but I don't miss the work involved in keeping them D:

Depends on the frog, age, and how close to wild caught they are. Anywhere from $25 - a couple thousand a piece...and that's just the frog. That doesn't include cost of food, tanks and supplies
