What gives you goosebumps?
Last night I was watching Inuyasha, and when the end theme came on, I had goosebumps. This usually happens to me when I listen to a really good song, or when I watch a particularly beautiful or awesome scene in a movie. Usually I get goosebumps on my legs if whatever I'm doing, say listening to a song, is really good. If it's really Really good, I get goosebumps on my arms too. If it's effing spectacular, I get chills in my chest, cheeks, and the small of my back. This happens when I listen to Five For Fighting, watch Naruto or PotC, etc.
Do things you love give you goosebumps? Do you have varying levels of goosebumps for varying levels of awesomeness? What gives you goosebumps? EDIT: Let me also ask a new question: If you don't get goosebumps from things you love, are there any other effects? When I'm watching a really good movie or reading a really good book, I also tend to get giggly, swing my feet, and clap little giddy claps. I'm really annoying XD. |
I was watching so you think you can dance last night and the dance by Lacey and what ever her partner's name is gave me goose bumps lol ^_^

When I bite particular surfaces, metals mostly, I get an awesome tingly feeling x3 that and certain moments in movies and songs x3

:O I never got goosebumps for stuff I love before... Maybe I lack passion? D: haha. But that's pretty cool. Getting goosebumps from something you're really passionate about and really love. For me, I only get goosebumps when, you know, I get scared. xD -scared of a lot of stuff- Claustrophobic, hemaphobic, necrophobic, arachnophobic, etc... xDD;; Other than my fears, nothing really... |
XD I didn't expect so much response so quickly.
@Sinspiration-That's really weird. XD I kind of get that, like if I'm eating cereal (something cold usually) and bite my spoon, I get a tingly feeling, but it's usually unpleasant. |

I never get goosebumps when I'm scared. Mostly I just try to breathe as quietly as possible (XD) and shudder a lot. |
Ohh! And when I get cold. Haha, forgot about that. I get goosebumps when the air conditioner's on and I have no sleeves, or if I'm just...cold. Hahahah. xDD |

xDD I do that at night. If I get scared at night, I would that, cover every part of my body, except for my head, and tuck myself in. xD Then I would look around the room to make sure there's noooothing there, as I carefully turn on the lamp by my bed. Then I'll run to the light switch for the light on the ceiling fan and run back, so there's light shining everywhere in my room. xDD I did that just two nights ago, when my night light's light bulb was running out or burning out or something, and it was flliiiiickkkerrrinnnnng (<-- in an eerie ghost sounding voice. xD). Oh, I'm probably getting off topic... Sorry!! >____< |
lots of things give me goosebumps
likewhen i touch cold water |

I was really freaked out last night (like a 'tard I decided to read 1408 before going to bed, NOT smart XD) so I was all huddled up in my bed moving as little as possible. |

xDD I hate it when I'm sneakingly staying up, and it's 3 in the morning... I'm reading a book, and then, even though it's not a scary book, it would have a chapter on ghosts or blood or murder, then I get all freaked out again. xD I would have to read the entire book plus some kiddie book about rainbows and unicorns and happyhappy things. xDD But if that doesn't work, then I have to force myself to just stay up all night, keeping myself occupied with a ton of books. =P It gets a little annoying sometimes, though, because after a while the lamp makes me really hot, but I'm still scared, so... Hot lamp + huddling in blankets = ...neeed...waaaatttteeeeerrr xD (I should probably just leave the thread before I start talking about how unicorns might've grown their horns...) -sneaks out- |
being cold gives me goosebumps...that's about it. I do get giddy though.
|
I'm getting off for a bit (the Road to El Dorado is on! ) but I'll be back later. :D
|
I normally only get goosebumps when I'm cold, but the other day, one of the guys I work with happened to put his hand on the small of my back as he was trying to squeeze by me, and it gave me goosebumps.
Not entirely unpleasant. I've gotten goosebumps off of a kiss before, too... I had just met the boy I had been in an online relationship with for the first time and when we kissed, I got chills all over my body. x3 |

There was this one guy I liked, I was like, stalker obsessed with this guy for 6 months in sophomore year (and it was not cool at all XP), but he used to do this growl that gave me goosebumps...>///< We don't really get along anymore, though.

I get goosebumps and shivers whenever something I've really been anticipating finally arrives. I was bouncing around in my seat and grinning like an idiot when I finally saw the third Pirates movie. I'm aware of its MANY faults but I was too happy at finally being able to see it to care much.
I also got into Harry Potter in my freshman year of college, so I've only done two midnight releases for the books. I was jittery and excited the whole time and I can't wait to do it one last time next month. |
I get goosebumps from my boyfriend, especially when he wears those pale jeans and a white blouse...
Also, when I watch a bloody slasher movie and -for example- someone's leg is chopped off, I get goosebumps in both my legs. >.>; DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE 11.14 WHEN YOU'RE MALE >____< Scary. Some songs give me goosebumps too... Or sad things. Like on my dad's funeral last Sunda, my stephmum tried to wake him up and jump in his grave to get him out and I don't know what. I didn't cry, but I was so sad I merely got goosebumps. ._. Very strange. |
Wow, that's really sad. D:

>_< I know, it's the second husband she lost without being able to say goodbye. :?

I get goosebumps when I'm embarrassed. I don't know why I do, but it just happens.
If someone pokes me or touches my arm or something lightly, I get goosebumps from that, too. Once my friends found out when I was in high school, they'd do it all the time, and then laugh at me. I got them back somehow, but I can't remember how right now. Whatever it was, it got them to stop. Dx I'm pretty sure I get goosebumps from a good song or movie, but I can't really be positive about it, since I'm not paying attention to whether my arms have mini bumps, but rather to whatever I'm watching or listening to. I know concerts give me goosebumps, though. I remember during the really great parts of the Dir en grey concert I attended back in February, I had them, as well as at the Hyde concert last year... I think I had them throughout that entire concert. So yeah~ xD |
