Parents frustration x-x
 

Yeahh, that happens a lot.. o__o;; It happened a lot when I was younger though..because my parents knew I would get scared easily. xD

Parents..know our weaknesses so well 'cause...we're their child? xD They have taken care of us for years...they know what we like and what we don't..so yeah. xD

Most of the time I tell them stuff about me. xD But then they'll know before I even tell them. There are some things they don't know about me though. : D

My dad does that. Like I'll just be going for a bike ride and I'll get a 20 minute lecture on how someone can kidnap me. But I'm not scared, just bored.

I tell my parents a lot of stuff, half of which SOUNDS like me but I really made it up. I don't want my mom to know I have a crush on my best friend, for instance.

My mother was always the one to try to scare me when I was younger, although she knows I'm too old for it to work now. Instead she just yells and makes a general fool of herself. Considering I'm well over the legal age to just do whatever I want without her being able to call the cops to get me back home and such, she really has no control over me, but she loves to think she does.

When I was younger I was scared away from just about everything by her though. Even the most simple stuff like watching television in the middle of the night was something that she made me panic from, just because of the stuff she told me. Things like "well you can watch it whenever you want, but if someone comes in to rob the house, he'll murder you while your back is turned since you're awake". Things like that... it was scary shit. I was scared from the time I knew how to talk until I was well into my teen years because of everything she said to me. But by now, I've learned to not pay attention to her and completely ignore her when I go to do something, before she thinks she can have her way and get me to stop from whatever it is.

True, true, but even though limbs can get broken, they'll heal over time. =) So while you can worry all you want about it, you're still completely putting off doing something that you want to learn. You can't let anything scare you off, because eventually you're just going to look back on your life and wish you had at least tried whatever it was anyways. I look back on a lot of my life now, even though sure, I'm still young, but I always look back and wish I had done more stuff and tried more things when I was younger. I had such a secluded childhood that when I look back, I just think to myself that I should've stuck with something longer or tried Xxx thing, or whatever. Just go for what you want. It's really easier than you probably think to block things that your dad will tell you to try and scare you off from something. My mum had all sorts of things she'd tell me for things I wanted to do that made a lot more sense than "you'll get killed while sitting on the couch", believe me. Dx She scarred me for life with some of it, but I can get past it now. It just takes a little push from yourself to be able to put things aside and do things that you want to do without being told anything otherwise.

Haha, I know. xD I always look like I'm 12 or something... you should see me with other hairstyles I've had in the past. I've looked so young. ^^;;
I'm 20 though. =)

Heart - I used to have a really great love for art, but unfortunately the art college I picked a couple years ago sucked it out of me. Now I have problems even getting in the mood to draw anymore. Dx So I understand why you wouldn't want to stop drawing for even a day. And music is wonderful. <3

Yeah, looking young isn't a bad thing most of the time. It's just pretty annoying that I've been pulled over for it a few times in the past, because I apparently look "to young to drive". This happened, of course, as I had my college parking sticker hanging in the window, heh. ^^; I'm lucky I don't ever have to get anything for my friends, mostly because none of them smoke or drink (so I don't have to worry about the liquor next year either xP ). The only problem with being IDed with me is when I go to the theatres and they think I'm too young to see certain movies. And it's not like I'm going to see porn or anything either, these are like pg15 movies. Dx Ugh, never ends.

my parents are supportive

and i guess parents know our weaknesses because they've been watching us grow up all this while. so they'll know our character well enough for that

kind of feel that your dad's a little too paranoid about stuff.. i mean it's not often people actually break their legs in a soccer game, especially if it's in school (probably get bruises though)

and my mother did talk me out of joining judo.. namely because a doctor told me before that i should try to avoid carrying heavy stuff because of my back. and judo is probably not a good idea if i can't carry heavy stuff

My mom would frequently try to convince me not to take walks for some odd reason ^^;. She'd say things like, "You could get kidnapped by strange people," or "make sure to take a sharp umbrella if you must go... or else wild dogs might eat you" o__O;. Very odd. Not that those reasons really convinced me... XD

I can usually bargain with my parents. They are pretty open-minded and reasonable. I rarely have to anyway, because I usually just keep to myself.
