my pants are always too big. its really annoying ==

Tease 07-15-2007 12:08 AM

Gosh this is like the girl nightmare.

-Do you own things that aren't in your size?

Yes quite a few things. I buy my pants a size bigger than I would normally cause my hips are larger than my legs so they always look loose and baggy which I don't like but I don't see a way around it. Also I tend of buy shirts smaller or bigger if they don't have my size cause I like them or the design.

-Do you prefer the "wrong" size or did you just had to have it?

I prefer the right size. So I would say I had to have it. I try and get the right size whenever possible.

All the time! T__T There was these AWESOME plaid bottoms!! But it was too wide..T___T

CLAMP 07-15-2007 03:06 AM

Naw, I usually buy clothes that fit me. I kinda care whjat's on them but then I don't because I know I will not wear it someday in the future.

secretdae007 07-15-2007 03:17 AM

I have many t-shirts that are not the right size. Most of them are larges. I've been losing a bit of weight (intentionally and in the proper fashion) and I don't have the heart to give up my precious t-shirts.

I also have a few shirts that are a little bit too small... Either it is because my chest is too big or my torso is too long... ^^; It is hard to find female fitted t-shirts for me D:

trinxie 07-15-2007 04:07 AM

how exactly are you gonna wear shoes that are 2sizes too big for you? XD

I'm a size 5 1/2 - 6 for shoes and most of the time, the shoes I want are too biiig! T___T
I don't buy them though.

When it comes to oversized clothes though, I'll buy it and just have it tailored to fit.

H_e_a_r_t 07-15-2007 04:10 AM

  • xDD hahaha, i dont buy things not my size, sometimes i do though if it fits somehow

tigerangel 07-15-2007 11:55 AM

I have the cutest pair of khaki shorts that I bought on sale. They're a size 1 and they were a tight fit when i bought them, but were so cute and I just had to have them.
I tried them on the other day and they just wouldn't quite fit anymore.
At least my size 2's still do or I would have to buy all new shorts for the summer.

Ebil 07-15-2007 12:15 PM

When I was trying to loose weight I'd buy jeans that were too small for me, as an incentive for me to loose the weight. Now I've lost the weight I just have a bunch of jeans that are too large for me to wear o_o
I don't tend to buy clothes to be fashionable or anything though, so I don't buy things because I think they'll look better, I tend to buy things that cost less xD

ljosberinn 07-15-2007 12:23 PM

  • It's so much easier fitting clothes that are a bit too big than trying to fit into clothes that are a bit too small. I tend to try the latter way more often, since the big sizes tend to sell out first, or they just don't have them. .____.

twizted child eve 07-15-2007 02:44 PM

I buy shirts that are too big for me all the time. xD I like to be comfortable.
I don't usually buy a lot of shoes. xD
When I buy a jacket, I make sure it fits. They're usually expensive.

Aeva 07-15-2007 02:55 PM

I try to buy everything in about the right size. I don't like wearing clothes that are too big or too small.

I never buy expensive jeans or even semi-expensive ones, though. I always buy 'em at Kmart because Route 66 jeans are the only jeans that actually fit me and I can get 'em on sale before school starts anywhere from $7-$15. Jeans in the juniors section at especially those more expensive places just don't fit me -- my thighs are way too big for 'em. There's no point in paying more for a pair of jeans that simply don't fit.

stilettolover 07-15-2007 03:02 PM

I routinely buy things that are the wrong size, usually too small. Because I tell myself I can lose a little bit of weight to fit into them--which is not good thinking for me. I am a recovering anorexic and that sort of thinking is very unhealthy.

=(

Aurora 07-15-2007 03:23 PM

A lot of my T-shirts are larges (I'm a small or a medium) because the specific design I wanted were out in my size. I even have a few jackets that are mediums when I should be in a small. The bagginess doesn't bother me. I don't like feeling suffocated. Yea, same here. D: I dont mind wearing stretch or fitting clothes, but usually I change into a t-shirt and shorts cause they are more comfortable. x3
I like to wear those hooded jackets a size bigger then me because they are really comfortable, but my mom says otherwise. >.>; I recently got attached to my older sisters jacket and wore it a lot around the house cause It was really comfortable and because it was bigger then me, I liked the way it looked and it reminded me of a cape with the hood. *loves capes* XD
But then my mom took it from me and wouldn't let me wear it because she said it looked like a bag on me and she didn't want me wearing it out around other people. >w< lol

iGeek 07-15-2007 05:23 PM

  • A lot of my T-Shirts fit me, but some are baggy and the others are a bit tight (I'm losing the weight I need to to wear them Dx). My pants always fit right or are too big. x)

A lot of the time when I buy clothes, my mother complains that they're too tight and show off my fat, but when I get a second opinion, they say it looks fine and that I should buy it. Serves my mother right. >]

Zweres 07-15-2007 05:45 PM

  • About 90% of my clothes fit me - but if I find a T-Shirt that I really like - I buy the bigger size because I keep thinking I'll "grow into it." I usually never buy clothes that are too tight for me - uncomfortable

Miss Charlaine 07-15-2007 06:00 PM

I usually buy big clothing.
I am usually a small, but I almost always buy medium.
>_<

Vanilla Condom 07-15-2007 07:03 PM

Yes, and I regret several things I guess. Such as hats. Pants that were too large, or not the way I liked it. But I get my mom to fix it up for me. :]

El DJ 07-15-2007 07:39 PM

All of my pants are like that o_O

ToriKat 07-15-2007 07:45 PM

  • @trinxie: The strap holds my ankle, so the only thing big about the shoe is that it extends about an inch from my toes. XD I hate looking at my feet, so the parts of the toes that are actually supposed to be exposed are actually hidden.

    My friend complained a lot because she actually wears a size 11 and all the shoes she wants are too small. ^^;

I have never had clothes tailored. I do have a few that I wish were a little more form fitting...

    @El DJ: I'm a size 3 or 5 and a ton of my pants are a size 7. >_>;; My mom thinks I'm wider than I am...

Rofl My pants are like a 30 inch waste when they should be like..... 28 inch.

Krazy-kat 07-15-2007 07:51 PM

Lucky! If I want something but it doesn't fit me it's usually too small. XP

I don't buy anything that doesn't fit right. And it has to pass the parent inspection, so if I do find something that's baggy or that shows off my curves a little bit nine out of ten times my parents won't like it. I have drastically different tastes from my parents.

aphrodite remix 07-16-2007 08:36 PM

Hmm I've done that before, usually with band hoodies because they never have ones made for girls, only guys, so its huge either way. That's ok with me. Aside from that, usually the t-shirts I end up getting (band ones) are too tight across the chest and fit everywhere else. But I get them anyway because I'm a sucker for the band apparel

tentenpuff 07-16-2007 08:49 PM

Haha. I know what you mean.

Two years ago, there was a really pretty shirt...

It was a bit small on me, but the sleeves were a meshy material, so the actually solid-y fabric part was the part around my torso, but not at the top area where my shoulders were.

I really liked it, so I bought it, even though it was really expensive and didn't fit perfectly.

Sadly, I've only worn it a few times before it was too small, and it's actually not very comfortable. ; _____ ; Byebye 30 dollars...

I don't mind if it's too big, though. In that case, I just have to wait a little until I grow older, and then it'll fit. =]

Abis 07-16-2007 08:53 PM

I buy clothes that are the wrong size quite often... mostly because t-shirts always run out in my size (I wear a small or medium) so I wind up buying the larger. My problem with shoes is that I wear a size 9... so often times they only have 8s or 7s... I've bought shoes that would technically be too small for me, merely because I loved the design so much.
