My Dream
Hey there. Well I have a dream and I'm going to post it. :o
I don't live with my little brother, mom, or "dad", long story so I won't explain. I live with my sister, guardian, and grandma. My mom is not very wealthy, she lives in a small apartment complex in Florida. My "dad" doesn't live with them but he is in their lives. I'm fortunate enough to have been adopted to my grandma and guardian, because I live a life of luxury while my little brother doesn't. My brother is nine years old, and he is content with his lifestyle, he has friends, he skateboards (he is VERY good), and he has a TV and Computer. He gets presents on Christmas too. Not so bad eh? Though the apartment is infested with cockroaches, when my sister and I went to visit my face was all T____________T; (I'm terrified of bugs). I got used to it though since they were everywhere, surfing on youtube when a cockroach decides to walk across the computer screen, I squeaked so many times though. heh, okay that's off topic. Him; http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...risBrother.png Since we only see each other once a year, I feel we've become a little closer than normal brother and sister, we cherish the time we have together and it's very rare that we fight. Him and my sister aren't as close, my sister was always hanging out with my mom and I was with my brother. I went out with a walk with him and we were talking, I was asking him about the future, and asked if he wanted to go to college and I believe he mentioned yes. But he knows he won't be going due to financial problems, heck, I don't even think my mom takes him to the dentist or doctor's for check ups. I feel really bad for him. He even said, and told our mom, he wanted to move in with us, though he said it in a jokingly manner as he knew it was impossible. I tried giving him a little hope about college. I told him if he did very well in high school he might get a scholarship to a community college, and I told him if that didn't work, if he was on a sports team that may help his chances. I know it seems hopeless, I was trying to cheer him up a bit. College costs thousands upon thousands of dollars, and they can't even afford to visit us in Jersey. I wish my mom would save some money for him, instead of giving him 20 bucks every week to spend on video games. Speaking of which I bought him one while I was there (yes, with my money), that made him happy, which made me happy. Anyways. I really want him to go to college, it wasn't until recently I discovered that that was what I wanted to do. I'm fourteen, too young for a job. I have around $4000 of my own money that I saved up, I plan on playing the market in real life, buying stocks and such in order to raise money, I know it's a very slow process and my money amount is little (I'm comparing it to the amount adults in the business world have), but I'm still going to try. And when I'm 16 I can always get a job somewhere. I could probably beg my guardians to chip in but I'm only going to ask once I have most of the money for him. I imagine I won't have enough money by the time his Senior Year in high school is past, but not everyone starts college right before they end high school, some people take a year or two off to get some work experience, which gives me 9 or so years to raise enough money for him and still have some left over for me when I'm out in the world all alone. I don't need my money for anything really, I'm very spoiled. I invested a thousand dollars in a star something mutual fund and gained a mere around 30 dollars since the year's beginning, and I'm planning on investing in more, also looking into buying some stock shares, I have to do a lot of research though. I know I don't know a whole lot now, but I'm going to learn a lot more about this business stuff. I've always been interested in it. You think I can do it? That is very kind of you to try and help your little brother out.
Its sad that he has to live in those conditions. At least you're giving him some hope for a bright future. =) I couldn't stand to live in a bug infested house. My house isn't big or fancy but at least I don't have to worry about cockroaches. -_-; |

I'm so grateful my house doesn't have a bug problem. I think my brother has the potential to become a pro skate boarder when he's older, he's better than most teenagers. If he does become pro he won't need to worry about going to college though. :o |

I have only tried to skateboard once at a friends house many years ago. ....I SUCK badly. I can't even stay on one for a minute, LOL! Plus my balance really sucks so I was all wobbly... Yeah skateboards and me do not mix. ^-^; |
I can't get on one either, I don't know how people jump with them, I tried and only my feet lifted and not the skateboard. xD;

Poor boy. I'm glad to hear that he is talented at skateboarding. He trul deserves such a talent. You're a great big sister for looking out for him. |
I tried skateboarding once, it didn't turn out pretty to say the least x3

Thanks Sanctuary, I agree with you, he really does deserve that talent, also his social skills are getting better which means he is making more friends. ^^

Yea :3, I don't have any pet shops were I live T_T. Do you have any pic's for your othere dog, asumming it is a dog that is x3
