Odd Dreams
I'm not normally myself in my dreams. Usually I switch between three different people. A teenage boy, rarely a teenage girl (technically I am one, but she isn't me), and a man about 25. I'm usually running from something, but they are never nightmares. I run for the fun of harassing my pursuer. I'm hated or an outcast in many of my dreams and I'm physically weak usually dying of something, but sometimes I also have great powers. I'll collapse a lot in my dreams. I die in almost every dream. I willingly die to save other people. I'm constantly saving someone. usually its groups of people or a child. I save one little girl from being killed by this man a lot. In turn he kills me. I think that little girl is me. I think this man is weaknesses, pains, fears, and doubts. He is my fear of my own possible insanity. He is my struggle in solid form. Often we are in love, and he hates me for it. He's stabbed me more times than I can count. He kills me, but I always win. How, I can't explain, it onl makes sense in my head. I can fly in most of my dreams, but my flight is labored and I often fail. It's so rare that I have a dream that doesn't end in my death, and yet, they are never nightmares. If I continue to have the same kind of dreams, it must have something to do with my mind. What do you think the phsycology behind this is? Do your dreams have reacurring themes? |

I understand what you mean. ^_^ I rarely remember my dreams. When I was younger I had a reoccurring dream of me flying around the house at night, it almost felt real. I usually don't die in my dreams, only one time, a very long time ago. I was probably 7, I was watching tv in my dream, I watched Mount Fuji explode and all of a sudden there was Lava outside, turned out Fuji was flooding the world with lava, yeah I ended up dying in that dream. xD; |
I've never had a dream I die in, I rarely have dreams, but I had this one dream afew weeks back that i can't get off my mind, and What I had about dreams is that the more you try and remeber it the more you seem to forget it x3

Well first off, I can say that you definitely put the ol' myth "if you die in your sleep, you die in real life" to rest.
I hardly ever dream of dying in my sleep. As a matter of fact, here lately I cannot remember my dreams at all. My last dream (that I do recall) is kinda a wacky X-rated dream... ^-^; Hee hee.... Although once I remembered all 7 of my dreams when I woke up and I wrote them all down. Anyways I don't recall being another person in my dreams but once, and the majority of the time I'm not the same age as I am now in my dreams. Sometimes I'm a little girl and sometimes I'm an adult. I hardly get to see myself, but I still know it of course. xD The weird thing is...... In a lot of my dreams I'm pregnant and trying to have a baby. :? I don't know why... I'm a virgin, so I don't really know why I would dream of giving birth. Sad thing is the father is never there. Sometimes mom will be there. One time I had a screwed up dream where I was pregnant and I was in a childs body... WTF! My latest dream that I was pregnant in was just stupid.... Somehow I spontaneosly got pregnant (no sex involved in my dream I was just ready to burst all of a sudden!) So I'm in a hospital, right... Well for now. The room that I'm in is very big and white, no doctors, nursers or anyone around. I'm completely isolated. Just myself and I'm sweaty, aching, and in pain trying to push this baby out. I'm also watching 'Deal or No Deal' while doing this. Suddenly I'm in another place, like a house that's being moved in to... Still in the bed trying to have a baby. Then these guys that help you move in by carrying furniture come in and they ask me where I want to put the microwave.... :? Wtf?... Then it ends there. |

I know, and I think I've only watched that show twice. So I honestly have no clue why it was in my dream. Plus the guys were like this. Them: "Ma'am where would you like this microwave to be?" Its not exactly the same each time, but it involves me being pregnant. O.o One time my sister even had a dream where I was pregnant. What is going on? Although I'm not pregnant in all of 'em. xD They just pop up every once in awhile. |
For every pregnant dream you have, that's how many kids you'll have in the future. :P
Hehe jk. But I definitely think you'll be a mother, I would be surprised if not. |

Last night I dreamnt I was in a building where people were being killed by a monster and I wasn't doing anything. I just walked to where I was going. I didn't even care >< That disturbs me. Finally, someone kills the monster. I walked to the elevator to leave the building and there is bodies in there. More than actual bodies I see blood smeared all over. So what is my reaction? I'm annoyed at the inconvience and fly through the roof instead of using the elevator D= I've never had a dream like that. Funny thing is, because of a summer homework assignment, I was reading the bible before I went to bed. Ironic? Edit- I wanted to add the other strange dream. I often have more than one in a night. I wasn't sure if I should. I don't know if it's normal to have multiple dreams. I was a man around 25. I was tring to fly to escape the planet I was on and save three children; an infant, a little girl, and a boy. I could onl get as high as a palm tree. I found a man with a rocket and we all flew into space. The first planet we saw was too storm, co we didn't want to live on it. I asked them to drop me off on the planet we came from, I had unfinished business there. They left me there and flew off without me to find the perfect planet to live on. Next thing I know the man we were escaping from is classing me. I'm jumping over tables and running. Eventually, one of the man's servants caught up with me and he had a knife. I gave in and he stabbed me. Next thing I know, I'm on the floor dying and the man is standing over me with a look of sadistic happiness. But, I felt it was a great dream when I woke up o.o |

What section of the bible were you reading? Old or New Testament, perhaps you were reading a little story or maybe facts? |
Genesis. I remember I was thinking about how cruel God seemed to be before I fell asleep. Nope, I'm not religious and I don't go to a Catholic school. We just need to read some of the bible for AP classes so that we can understand biblical allusions in the books we read. |
Ah I see. You thought god was cruel so he punished you through your dreams. Hehe, sorry.
No actually, I'm an athiest, I need to see God physically or at least in a dream to make myself believe. |
Pregnant? I wonder what that means. I've never been pregnant in a dream. Heck, I've never had an kind of family in a dream. (except for adoption) I occasionally will save children in my dreams, which is sort of funny because I don't like them in real life. |

I was worried for a moment there XP I worry too much about offending someone. The more I read of the bible the more sceptical I am. For the sake of discussion, if I really considered the possiblilt of god punishing me through a dream I'd think it would be one I was actually afraid of. I got more the feeling that I was dreaming as god, or at least, as the way I saw god. The monster was probably satan. |
Nah, I'm only sixteen myself, nearly seventeen. I only consider people children when they act like it. I know a 12 year old who I don't consider a child, granted, he's far beyond his years in intelligence and maturity. edit- sorry for the order of my posts. I got everything confused |
The bible was written by mere humans? Humans aren't perfect and they make mistakes so the bible can't be perfectly correct or what God wanted it to be. I'm not entirely positive. I've gone to religion class for 7 years but I barely learned anything. And yes, I am still an atheist.
Do you recall what the monster in your dream looked like? |
