I just got back from church and next week, apparently, I'm going to get a makeover. Now while I appreciate the gesture I'm worried about how I'm going to turn out and how my mother's going to react. I mean, she gets mad at me if I come home with nail polish. But if she gets one look at me decked out in makeup and borrowing my friend's clothes- I'm not even sure what style they want to use on me- I don't know what she's going to say. But I'm looking forward to it, all besides the plucking my eyebrows part. That sounds way too painful. =P
O_o; As for spoons, you have to be able to pull something from this paragraph. Something. ANYTHING. So quit being a lazy bum and think of something to say to me.

Why are you getting a makeover for? =O I would love one right now by professionals. ^0^ But that'll be years from now and I definitely don't need it. Well, I lie. But why bother now? xox; I'm still a kid...
But I hope you turn out pretty. ^^

I think it's disgusting how parents, mostly religious parents, think it's wrong for their children to do anything creative.
I'm currently wearing worn black nail polish with pink nail polish over that. I'm also wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner. My hair is cut at the shoulder, and it's dyed in streaks. And I'm a guy.
And even though I like to experiment with my looks, I'm a decent human being, if not better than most. I'm not a "satan worshiper" (I hate that term. 1) Satan worship doesn't seriously exist 2) The people who believe in satan worship are religious zealots 3) The main belief of true satanists is to not worship any deity), I don't do drugs, I don't drink, I get good grades. What does it matter if my looks are different?

Oh geesh, I made the mistake of letting my sister do that ...-_-;
I ended up with orange hair and looking like a drag queen in a short skirt and top that made my boobs show D=

My definition of "kid" varies from day to day, so I don't know what your age range is.. but there are way too many kids walking around with non-existing cleavage hanging out and short skirts/shorts. It's completely unnecessary, and I think it's good that you think you don't need looks right now.

Ooooh a friend of mine wanted to do my eyebrows once.
I told her no. I never do my eyebrows, they look fine.
And another friend did make-up to me once back when we were about
15 - 16 years old. She did alot of eyeshadow, powder and mascara.
But the worst thing was what she did with my eyebrows and lips:
A very fat brown line around my lips that supose to be very thin,
but it looked as if I drank alot of chocolat milk O_o
And then my eyebrows, she made them black with black eyeshadow,
I looked like I lived in a cave .__. gosh that was horrable. And she actualy
said that I should do that often, darken my eyebrows. NO WAY!!

I've never gotten a makeover... The closest I've been to a makeover in progress... I've cut/styled my friend's hair before... I've been a "personal shopper" to many people (Meaning I pick out what they should wear, and they buy it)... And I've helped people figure out what to wear... I have a lot of fashion sense...

My best friend is a guy. I would NOT let him give me a makeover, seeing as he wears the same shirt 2 days in a row in school (I do that, but not in public). and thinks camouflage pants and our 7th grade team's Carolina blue T-shirt looks good together, with navy blue and white sneakers.
Not that my fashion sense is much better *wears kids size 18 pants when she can fit in a 14-16, 12 if she squishes*.

I hope you turn out gorgeous and that your mom doesn't beat your butt and make it explode like popcorn. If I came home decked out in a miniskirt or something, I would be forbidden to hang out with my friends anymore because of their "bad influence." I've never gotten my eyebrows shaped bfore. I do pluck them on the sides sometimes and it can hurt a lot! And for the next two hours, your skin will be pink around there. Have fun!

- Plucking your eyebrows hurts for about five seconds and then it stops hurting. It is plucking the hair above your upper lip that hurts like hell. And it isn't like the skin gets a little numb and you don't feel the pain, that hurts every time you pull on a hair.

I used to more or less resist getting a 'make over' back in grade school.
It was never that bad, I suppose...
And luckily, my friends in high school aren't girly enough to be plotting to ambush me with eyeliner.

- None of my friends even wear make up or anything like that. Most of us don't do much with our hair, are too lazy in the morning to wear much makeup, and definitely aren't girly. As in, if I went over to their houses, we would NEVER even think about giving each other makeovers.

My one friend refuses to wear skirts, and that about says it all as to how girly she is.
We're going to force her into a semi makeover for midwinter anyway though.

I hope it works out for you. Good luck with it. I wouldn't want a make over. I'll make over myself if I feel the need.

- Peh, plucking your eyebrows is sort of painful, but you get used to it. xD Like, I need to pluck mine before tomorrow. : > They look terrible.
Otherwise, I do my own makeovers. >_>

Plucking isn't really too bad if you do it right. However, if you do it wrong, it can look weird.
I always wanted to get a makeover done ... but more along the lines of what they do on TV ^^:

=P Thanks for all the commentary guys. This thread certainly exploded as soon as I was gone, now, didn't it?
I'm hoping that I don't look too bad after they get a hold of me. They look pretty nice themselves so I trust them to know what they're doing, but I'm a firm believer that I'm hopeless when it comes to looking good. I don't want to put effort into it, my parents hate it, and honestly, people judge me more. O-o; Jeez.

That does sound pretty fun. If my mom let me, I would want to do something like that. My mom doesn't like me using makeup for some reason, so I'm gonna guess that she won't be too happy once I get mine. xD

When I went to New York at the end of April we went to Sephora and just for fun we got makeovers. The girl that did my friend did a great job. The person that did me put some kind of gooey color stuff on my eyebrows and I had groucho marx eyebrows. It was awful.
We ended up going to the pizza place next door and having them give us water and some napkins so I could scrub that stuff off. I could have had them do it but I just wanted the heck out of there.

xD I feel sorry for you. If that was me, I would've screamed and demanded that they fix me this instant or risk a punch to the face. Or at least a lawsuit.
