  • People living in big cities, I mean. Most people probably don't even know what happened last night. There was a meteor shower. While most everyone else probably sat in their homes watching TV or on computer, me and my friends sat outside watching the sky. It was a LOT more fun than sitting here on my computer. Too bad we went in at 11, because thats probably when it got good..

Have you ever seen a meteor shower?
    Did you see last nights?
Did you even know about it?

And dont do that stupid thing where you copy and paste those and put your answer under it. It's a lame way to get more gold :|

But I want to copypasta the questions :gonk:
Oh well. I'll prose-i-fy it for you. Sigh.

I saw a meteor shower last year at my grandmother's, who lives way out in the middle of nowhere. I, myself, live way out in the middle of nowhere, but where my house is surrounded by trees, hers is not, and makes for a better viewing experience. I didn't see last nights because I didn't know there was one last night :whee: and even if I had, I was busy packing for university. Are meteor showers seen all around the world at once, anyway? I mean, on the close side to them? I thought they were region specific. I'll wiki it.

Sadly I've never seen one, and I don't live in a city.

I would have driven out the country to see the meteor shower--as I have before--but sadly, I had to be at work this morning and the peak time to see them is 2 a.m. here. :(

So no meteor shower for me. T_T

I herd about that on the T.V about Friday i think it was, mabey before, and i ment to make a note of it, so i could watch.
I forgot about it until i was stting last night and reading a book about space, and i wondered if it was Sunday they had said it was due.
I didn't see it in the end, but i doubt i would have gotten a very good view which is a shame, as i would have loved to have watched it.

I wish things like that would be more widley broadcast. I don't think they are in England to much, or i'm watching the wrong channels.

No I didn't see any meteor shower in my whole life and I never knew about it till this second. =O But I really don't mind, I love living in the city. Out in the country makes me feel lonely and when I feel so, I start having a negative spiral of thoughts.

I stuck a ladder to my roof and climbed up. I got to see a few minutes of he meteor shower before my mom came out and yelled at me for being on the roof at 2 in the morning.

I saw a better one a few years back, though. But my family planned it out, so we drove to the country to go watch. It was damned awesome.

I was busy wasting time online and didn't even know there was a meteor shower last night >.<
I woke up this morning and my sister and her husband were saying "Wow! It was so great last night... meteors... loads of them..." and I was all...
"No one tells me anything *sulks* "
Then again, if they did tell me at the time, I probably would have whined at them for annoying my internet time.

I spent a majority of my night trying to fend off a large spider that decided to take residence in my computer.

I don't really care much for meteor showers. If I wanted to see some rocks burn up in the atmosphere I could go on youtube. After all the amazingly creative things people have created, meteor showers pale in comparison. They're cool li'l events the earth has, but it's nothing I'd pity someone for not seeing.

I live in the country when I'm not at college. But when I am in college, I live in the city. It sucks. I miss the grass and the sky. I miss the stars. I don't think I've seen a meteor shower before though. I missed the one we could have seen around here. I'd love to see one.

  • Seeing them with your own eyes makes it a lot more beautiful than watching them on youtube.

I usually don't watch the news or keep up with current events that much. Maybe that's why I miss these things. XD

Yeah... I knew it was sometime... But I didn't know it was last night.
My bad.
Of course there's so much pollution in Dallas I doubt I'd be able to see it anyways!

I've seen a few small meteor showers. Nothing really spectacular. But I did get to see it through my dads sweet telescope =]
We also used to look at planets and stuff through it a lot too.

I was outside watching the meteor shower!
Its actually the second night I sat outside and stargazed.

I live out in the country, so I went out into this big vineyard behind my house... it felt like I was sitting under a bowl and the shooting stars were arcing along the inside. x3

I watch every meteor shower I can.

I've seen a meteor shower once, but that was it. ^^; It was a really long time ago, too...

I tend to not look out the windows much. D: Especially last night, when I just spent about 5 hours watching Japanese horror flicks. Trust me--NOTHING will get me outta bed until morning after that. xD

((Yes, yes I know--I indulge in scaring myself))

I feel sorry for myself too...

I didn't watch the news earlier so I had no clue of the meteor shower or when it would be.
I found out about it on Gaia when it was 2:30 AM, so I bet I missed it.
:(

I tried looking outside but I didn't see anything.
I don't live in a big city, I live in a very, very small one.
Oh well... I guess I'll never get to see a meteor shower.

I know there was a meteor shower last night, but I wouldn't be able to see it anyway. Last night was cloudy.

Well I have seen a meteor shower but unfortunately I couldn't see last nights since it couldn't be seen from here.. I'm sure my family would be all over it if that was possible so I don't think it could be seen here or it would be all over the news or radio xDDD yes we're lame like that

Meteor showers are so pretty as well as stars >w<~~ I wish I could have seen it, it must have been awesome XDDD

but you shouldn't say mean things like I feel sorry for you, for me that is the worst insult x__x so.. yea It's not for me since I don't think you live where I live but it's rude

I also made a thread already about this subject, over here:
http://www.menewsha.com/viewtopic.php?t=20238

But anyways. No I have not seen it. The whole day it was sunny, and when
it started to get dark it suddenly started to rain, and when it didn't rain,
there was alot of fog -___-;;;

I have seen it earlyer though, when I was a little younger, and in Hungary
the stars were so bright that we saw a few shooting stars.

  • LOLLL thank you for that last little bit. I hate when people copy and paste questions like they're doing a quiz or something.

    Anyways.

I didn't get to see the meteor shower last night because I didn't know what time it was going on. :[ I live in San Francisco though, so I probably wouldn't have been able to see it anyways.
