Menewsha's Cook Book!

I'm not sure if we have a thread like this or not. And if we do then you should lock the other one  Kidding, I'm just kidding *giggles*

Well, I know a lot of people here are really good cooks. Then there are some like " L o g a n that are just starting out and can't believe how good a grilled cheese sandwich is when ya make it yourself.

So I think it's time we started to share our recipes with each other. From grilled cheese sandwichs to a five star meal. Also it dosen't all have to be food recipes you can even post punch bowl recipes. I sometimes have to host parties for wedding shows and I'm always looking for a yummy drink to make.

So lets get cooking! Your all welcome to post your recipe or leave a comment about a recipe posted....

This one's just to make a quick lunch out of a can of corn. It's really yummy though.
Recipe for Corn Lunch Thingy Doodad!
Cook Time: About 5 minutes
Servings: 1
Ingredients: Can of Corn, Butter, Greek Seasoning (best seasoning ever. Go buy it. Walmart has it. Good investment.)
How to make:
  • Open can of corn, and pour contents into a microwave safe bowl (do not drain liquids)
  • Put a pat of butter (about one tablespoon) in the bowl, and sprinkle greek seasoning generously
  • Microwave on your microwave's vegetable setting, or for about a minute
  • Stir, and enjoy!

Super simple, but it's good when you've got nothing to have for lunch. It may not completely fill you up, though, so I'd recommend having a small snack with it, like a few chips or toast or something.

Lilim 09-04-2007 09:36 PM

*Giggles* I know someone who would really enjoy this lunch!
His family stocks up on can veggies >< So he eats all the corn.

Omg it's Cherry! :o I'll be getting to your art on Gaia soon (sorry about the wait, I have like seven people waiting on me for art).

Anyways. Topic. Ummm...

Recipe for Akari's Favorite Snack in the World!
Cook Time:
I'd say about three minutes.
Servings:
One or two
Ingredients:
Popcorn (can NOT be buttered, I prefer Orville Redenbacher's Natural)
Soy Sauce (I prefer San-J Tamari or Kikkoman)
How to made:
  • Make popcorn.
  • Pour Soy Sauce on popcorn. Not too much. If your soy sauce bottle does not have one of those things in the top that filters it, Pour a little bit in the cap and use that to sprinkle it on. A few capfuls should do it.
  • About halfway or a third of the way through, you'll need to add more soy sauce.
  • Done!!!

Recipe for A Better Instant Ramen Meal!

Cook Time: 5 minutes give or take.
Servings: One.
Ingredients: 1 packet of Chicken Ramen, 1 egg, 6 snow peas.
Directions:
  • Fill a small / medium pot with water.
While it's heating pour the chicken powder mix in it.
As you wait for the water to boil take out an egg and whip it in a separate bowl as well as clean and peel the snow peas.
    Chop up the snow peas.
When the water comes to a boil put the egg in and stir it around. It'll look a bit like egg drop soup.
After that put the noodles and snow peas in and cook for three minutes. Don't forget to stir it around a bit so it doesn't bubble over.
Turn off the stove and pour it all in a bowl.
    Enjoy.

Recipe for Fabby's Fabulous tacos!

Cook time: Ehh, twenty minutes at most.
Servings: A few.
Ingredients: Hamburger. Refried beans. Tomatoes. Lettuce. Cheese. SOUR CREAM. Taco shells, obviously.

Directions: Begin by throwing in your hamburger. Then, move on to slicing up the tomatoes. Remember you were making hamburger and stir it slightly, then throw some beans in a pan. Shred your lettuce, and throw your cheese out (or slice it, if you're not lazy like me and don't have pre-shredded cheese) Walk away for ten minutes and have a cigarette. Go 'SHIT, I WAS MAKING FOOD!' Run back out and stir your beans and hamburger.
Repeat last process until everything is burnt beyond belief.
Season taco to taste with various ingredients you just made. Forget to shut the hamburger off and burn that even more. Slather the whole damn thing with sour cream and possibly some Taco Bell salsa, cause I love that shit.
Forget to shut the stove off and walk away :DDD

Note: It's in your best interests to not cook like Fabby. :XD

*Giggles* I'm glad I made this thread
But now I'm hungry T_T

djCherryPop 09-09-2007 12:55 AM

Haha, my friends just moved away for college.

I've gotten probably twenty calls from them, all food related. "What should we buy? If the tuna is only a month past the expiration date, is it still okay? How do you make french toast, again? I can't remember how to open an egg without getting the shell in the pan!!"

Yes.. yes. They're both males, and both have been waited on hand and foot by their mother - until now.

Oh, the joys of growing up.
